not at all, there are many who feel the same including myself, believe me, its mostly what I think about day in and day out, all I see is pollution.We are the smart ones, we know what to do, so we must do it, WE. Thats all we can do.

Actually, most of the world's pollution doesn't come from cars. It's from the factories and power plants. By owning a computer, by consuming electricity, by keeping your food cold, etc... you are feeding the problem. Everything we do in our daily lives causes global warming. You can blame the factory owners, but really, they're just giving us what we want. And we want it without accepting the blame for what happens as a result.

And by the way no matter what car you decide to drive it all converts to pollution somehow. Where are you getting your electric to charge your car? Where do your materials to produce your car come from? Where do you put your car when it is no longer usable? hmmm You do realize that it is actually 'greener' for us to continue driving our current cars and buy used instead of goin out and purchasing brand spankin new. because if we bought brand new that is just another car on the road, so more materials to produce, more materials to fuel, and more space is taken up when they all break! So put that in your uptight pipe and smoke it! and plus all new cars look like friggin spaceships. I refuse to drive ET's car.

civilization is unraveling. what we have been doing, for about the last 150 years has been slowly falling apart since the 1950's.
since the late 1980's the events have been speeding up.

I agree man. If the world has nothing for morality the people of this earth will for sure meet doomsday. If the biggest thing to corporations and most people is money they will never stop their greediness and we will pay the ultimate price. You cannot keep taking and taking from the earth forever. Mother Earth can only take so much. If the world as a whole can not put morality infront of the dollar the clock will just keep ticking.

You should watch "Native American Prophecies" on youtube. Theres like 4/5 videos where an "elder" is speaking. It's not one of those the world will end in 2012 things nor religious rambling, it's the same stuff WE are talking about. It makes crazy sense. It's said so clearly and it really hits home. What's this with "other peoples threads"? Surely the whole point is that this is an open forum where anyone can participate.

 

Fuck pollution. When you see the problems it creates, you'd see why it needs to be stopped. I don't accept anything anybody says, because until you could put yourself in a situation where you see people develop illnesses from pollution then I couldn't care at all what you say. You can't say that the axe man is innocent, because he got his money through killing maiming and torturing people. Yea it is that bad. If you don't believe it then you haven't been to a polluted place.

All of the world's needs could be supplied, without extensive pollution. Things like hemp, windmills, hydro, algea farms, and tons of other stuff could give us all we could ask for and more without the pollution. Yea power plants are bad - get a windmill, a personal one, and you could supply your house with power. Get lithium polymer batteries, they won't pollute to the same degree as NiMH of NiCad batteries do, and you could charge the batteries in times of low usage and use them in peak usage when the windmill couldn't supply enough power.
Use biofuels from the hemp plant, and cooking oil diesel. You could use hemp seeds for food, hemp leaves for the fuel and the fibers for paper making or food. A 3 in one crop, so it wouldn't be wasteful like corn-based biofuel.
Require factories to have algea farms that would clean the emissions from power plants. I believe there is even a byproduct of this that they could sell, like a fertilizer or something (I have no idea)

There is no reason that we couldn't do these things, other than the fact that the GOVERNMENT will not permit this to happen. WE need to do it ourselves regardless of what bullshit the gov't throws at us, and we need to stick together when our brothers and sisters stand to recieve punishment for saving the world.
