SWIM has been taking oxycodone HCL 30 Mg (roxicodone 30 mg) for a about 10 months now but started off with just a half a day maybe only on weekends here and there. Then would take breaks to make sure no addiction. Then sometimes one day on, one day off, one day on, then break again to make sure no addiction. To make along story short, it got to a point where SWIM realized SWIM was working much better on it and felt less anxious/social anxiety so my social life was getting better, SWIM had a great time talking to even random people, and SWIM was very focused and determined at work. Started a few very successful businesses actually while doing it, which SWIM know sounds dumb but SWIM feel this helped SWIM achieve that because SWIM was able to think clearly and more objectively instead of giving up or anything. Then it got to a point where instead of taking it just during weekends and such SWIM started taking it a bunch more during crazy work days (like 2-3 tabs a day on those days). Things have been going great work-wise and couldn't be more happier with that, going very successfully. However SWIM am worried that it may get to a point where it is VERY hard to quit and SWIM also don't want to cause long-term damage. SWIM wanted to see people's input on this because to be honest with myself, SWIM really do not want to quit yet and yes the high isn't the same and all that but it does get rid of my anxiety to a great point and keeps SWIM level headed. SWIM know it might sound stupid but being honest. SWIM just don't think I want to quit but SWIM know many of you are going to say just do it now before too late. SWIM knows SWIM has to quit at some point just doesn't want to yet. Do you think this is real bad idea. SWIM thinks he will continue for a bit and when he feels he is truly ready he will jump right into suboxone but only for it for 3-4 days as he has friends who said this works best and prevents some of the bad effects from suboxone itself. SWIM feels he is enjoying life now and you only live once. SWIM also has a serious cough when he drinks or eats certain foods because of acid reflux he believes and this is the ONLY thing that gets rid of that cough, which is a huge deal as well. He has been to MANY doctors and they cannot figure out the problem, he had this for many years but last few years cough was much worse before even taking the oxycodone. Do you think it would be ok to continue to keep using as long as he sticks to certain philosophies such as never ever taking more than 1/2 at a time and trying to never go above 3 a day max. Do you think it will be very hard to get off if using the help of suboxone if SWIM waited a few more months. Many good can come out of it as it may help SWIM get over his social anxiety and stress/anxiety in general as he is a perfectionist and maybe this can train the brain to learn to act differently under those circumstances. Any input would be helpful whether bashing or just constructive. Thank you in advance

SWIM has been taking 12-15 inch black cock (african american penis) for about 10 months now... but started off with just half a day, maybe on the weekends.

Then SWIM started to feel good on it, got a few good businesses going. He felt that this was due to his use of the cock. He felt he could think more clearly. He felt pain. SWIM never felt the need to type in paragraphs.

I will end it at that.

Think clearly and stop going to the lake.

keep doing them if they make you feel good, oxycodone while addictive is a relatively harmless drug ( although definately lethal if take way too much); i.e doesnt harm liver, lungs, brain

Stop making excuses they only lead to more excuses and next thing you know your justifying a needle being in your arm. It sounds extreme, but the majority of addictions start off with harmless excuses like 'i just want to try' or 'im in pain, im not looking to get high'.

Just from reading a little of your post i can tell you have buried yourself in excuses and now you are looking for more. Your asking for advice and know what we are going to say because you already know the answer. I think this post is only another way for you to reinforce your drug use by listing benefits. You were addicted when you realized limits needed to be set. Limits are for guiding an addiction, not for preventing it.

If you quit they will still be there along with excuses to do more oxy. Wait to quit but realize every day/excuse that passes by only makes quitting harder.

To the original poster...SWIY... Many successful people are hooked on opiates and they help us function, give energy and positive feelings. If it's bothering you that you use, taper it down to minimize the withdrawals. You'll feel at least a little crappy for awhile, but it passes...once you're clean, the social anxiety is going to come back. Talk to your doctor about this and see what kind of treatment options you have. They have meds to help with acid reflux, avoiding foods that trigger it, and that cough needs to get checked out in detail.

Opiates suppress the cough reflex, so naturally, it's going to help. So, now that you have your businesses going with the help of these magical pills, try to keep it together without them. Addiction is progressive and takes a long time to get where you absolutely can't control it....then you're in a bad place. My best advice is to stop while you're ahead, and do it on your own. Take a month off them and see how you feel. That's what Im doing right now. Got a friend holding a few percs for a H-ween party, and that's it for a good while. Been off opiates for 3 days now and going thru a couple immodiums a day but nothing serious. Good luck, man...and no need to refer to yourself as SWIM here.!!

Read most but not all. All I wanted to say is opiated shouldnt be used for long term anxiety treatment. I was perscribed Klonopin(a benzo) for my anxiety. or maybe an ssri would help you. not sure ur situation. its up to you. but I feel that taking them alot to self medicate isnt so good.

Tried to quit, got to day 3-4 but the mental aspect was killing me last night so started again, i had so many left for one (felt like it was a waste to have them just sitting there forever) plus the depression hit in because I felt that I never really felt the bad effects from it so was hard to justify quitting (although from what you all say it changes).

I never allow more than 1/2 to be done at a time. I'm just so use to having that "crutch" I guess you can say as it is at a point where it is still enjoyable. From what I've been reading a lot of people are saying the chances of quitting successfully are a lot less until you feel the bad/"evil" effects of the drug because then you truly realize why your quitting and why it needs to stop. I do not feel that part yet. Just wanted to get your input.

Can this cause long-term irreversible damage to brain?

what happens is people end up willing to do ANYTHING to get more pills

you are doomed if you wimp out on the withdrawals

no it won't cause brain damage.

StonedAge had it completely right. read that response very carefully OP.

and i wouldn't even think about suboxone man. you're doing like 5-10mg at a time, whatever comes along with quitting (depression, anything) is going to be way better than getting yourself addicted to subs and then having to come off that shit at some point.

    you obviously should stop.

Guilt over a robbery victim has led a man accused of 10 recent Oxycontin heists in the Calgary area to co-operate with police, says an officer.
Last Friday, police arrested a man previously known to them, charging him with robbing nine pharmacies in Calgary and one in Okotoks between Sept. 28 and Oct. 27.
Two of the stores -- Paragon Pharmacy on 14 St. S.W. and Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy on Crowfoot Cir. N.W. -- were robbed twice.
Police say that one of those armed robberies, in which the suspect allegedly used a gun, a female pharmacy staff member was terrorized -- a result that got the better of the accused's conscience, said Insp. Jim Rorison.
"He felt he had traumatized her to some extent and that's what motivated him to co-operate with us," he said.
"He did speak candidly to investigators and outlined each of the robberies -- he wanted it off his chest."
Charged with 33 offences including robbery, having a masked face among others is Cory Alan Sharlow, 31, of no fixed address.
