something that i swore i would never do......

Well thats okay then... I just see more and more parents getting facebook nowadays, and even grandparents. And I know its just to keep an eye on their kids which I find ridiculous. It's good you and your son have few secrets :cheers2:

I enjoy it for business and personal reasons. I just don't understand people that have 700 friends, for what reason?

 

thats kinda the reason they want me to sign up....all of a sudden many old friends are surfacing....and old girlfriends.....i am really torn whether i even want to hear from most of them

I feel the same way. I hate it, but its nice to talk and share my life with family who isnt nearby.

 

OP, i shared the same position. However, i recently made a facebook account - just for a few people whose profile i wanted in on.
I dont use it.

facebook is alright if you don't get on all the time

it's the people that check it like 3x a day that annoy the fuck outa me... it seems like they use it to feel more social than they are? i don't know, just my opinion. I check mine like once every few days, add a video, comment on some stuff, then just log off.
