I have to do a book project for my 12th grade World Lit. class and I get to use any book I want as long as it wasent written by a American Author. I was wondering what would be some good choices. I kinda want to read somthing pretty wierd but i just need some choices. thanks

Huxley, Isabelle Allende, lots of Indian (Asia) authors out there, check that they are not living in the US, Rushdie, lots of good African authors, maybe Cry the Beloved Country? Esquivel (like water for Chocolate)
