opinion on bud pirates.

what are your views on someone taking weed from someone elses crop? i know of people who have done this and it pisses me off.

no joke, i know a member who stole from a crop and had his house broken into. his weed was stolen, his bongs and bowls were smashed/stolen and house his house was trashed.

how's that for karma?

The circumstances are a lot different from the original post. I found a small crop over the summer and noticed who ever the grower was they were not taking care of it and obviously were not visiting it. So i watered them over the summer and basically took care of them, i was only planning on taking 1 or 2 plants since the grower obviously wasn't taking care of them. I took 1 plant that was kind of immature, i thought the grower would for sure know that someone knew where there plants where since one was missing, but nope he just left them there and i wasn't about to just let them go to nature and i decided to harvest a couple of them.

Then i left with a friend for around an hour and no was home and i left my front door unlocked. When i walked up to my room it was obvious that someone had went through my stuff and took everything weed related. They didn't really trash my house. I only lost about 2-3 ounces of the bud i had harvested along with my bong, two bowls, grinder, scale, and other various things that had to do with weed.

This was a good lesson for me though, I learned you cant trust anyone even people you think are trust worthy. Maybe i should of left all the plants there and just let them die, but i decided to take them. I should have never told anyone how much bud i had and where it was at. At least the next time i harvest i will know not to tell anyone and to keep it on the dl.

My friends have gotten two crop scores before. I've never done it because I wouldn't want someone to steal my shit..... The idiots still smoked me up though.

 

Wouldnt take from someone elses crop. Ever. If that happened to me I woud have tracked down the **** beat the shit out of him, my growing spot is 7 miles into the middle of nowhere though and theres ony three people who know how to get there. Me, my dad and a good friend who would drive me out once in a while, and even then its a 5 min walk from the road into a wasteland of old trees. No one could possibly find them without me

 

Its just weed, I don't understand why people have to rob other people for marijuana which is SO easy to obtain without stealing. I think my brother had some friends that stole a couple plants earlier this summer...

You'd get frickin' shot dead by most growers if they caught you raiding their fields around here! See as they all carry rifles since you could encounter any number of dangerous/weed-eating beasts out in the woods.

 

My friend went back home for the weekend a month or so ago and he and his friends got drunk and decided to steal someone's plant.One of em knew the guy so idk if he deserved it or whatnot, but it is still fucked.Karma kinda got them back though lol.My friend had em set on a chair so they could dry out and his friend accidentally flipped the chair over not knowing anything was on it.So all the weed was scattered all over the grass haha.

I highly doubt this, no ones gonna spend life in prison over a few plants, or even a few hundred.

and as for those animal cam's, if i was gonna steal someones crop and i saw those camera's kicking around, i'd probably take those too.

The main issue i have with somone stealing somone else's crop is what, whats the point?

sure if your stealing it within days of the grower's cropping, then yea you'll get some weed out of it, but if your stealing plants or cutting off buds in the middle of flowering, it's virtually pointless.

 

First rule of growing weed and shrooms. Never tell anyone, ever. Not even your girlfriend or best friend.

I guess its the first rule of ripping too.

 

my buddy stole a couple plants when we were kids. he said he overheard some other kids planning to steal them, so he did it first.

he showed up at my house and said he had to show me something in his trunk. i was so happy with what i saw, that i didn't mind how shady it was. to make excuses - i was probably gonna get stolen by someone - so many people knew about them. and i knew the grower and didn't really like him
but that doesn't excuse the behavior. it's pretty shitty.
the weed was a bit immature, and we probably didn't dry or cure it properly, but it was still some pretty good bud

oh we were so happy trimming buds into bread bags in my friends trunk in his parents driveway at night time

 

Getting your crop ripped is a risk of the trade.

Being a good grower doesn't just include good gardening skills. You also have to be aware of location, and potential traffic from narcs, rippers, and leos.

If your crop gets ripped it means you just not good enough at gurilla growing yet. Try again.

 

Can't see why the opinions on this would be that it's ok or something? My brother had two plants in the backyard of my parents (already a big accomplishment hehe), they were getting huge but then one night someone pulled them out of the ground with root and all and nothing was left. They weren't even ready yet. Anyway, getting in someone's yard or house without permission is already wrong, let alone stealing stuff. That it is weed does not make it ok in any way at all.

 

I will agree that it is VERY pointless for these fucktards..........but still being the grower and putting all the time and effort into getting the plants to where they were before getting ripped...........still strikes a nerve........id much rather be ripped at the end of the season than halfway through for sure........atleast the bastards will get a buzz lol

 

id rather get ripped half way through probably, the idiots wont get shit and it will save me all that additional effort for the latter half of the process
