Bikram Yoga

    Has anyone tried it?

    I am about to go to my first class in a couple days. I've never tried it and its something I've been interested in for a long time. I want to start slow and work into it and hopefully do it 5 times a week.

    I'm mostly interested in it to relieve stress and help with my circulation (I have poor circulation). But I know it can help with weight loss too. That's not my main goal to lose weight but I do want to lose like 10-20 lbs. Is it easy to lose weight from this? I don't want to be on a diet since I do love food but could I actually lose weight quickly from this? They say I could lose 2000 calories in a single class from a 90 minute workout. At the gym, I only lose like 400 calories per workout. Anyone know about Bikram?

    doing anything in a sauna like enviroment is gonna speed up calories/fat burned... you could do situps and pushups in a sauna and get results..

    Of course. But is it more beneficial than a gym?

    well where do you have access to an area that is humid and 105F?
