You came from the womb asking questions. What sponsors the questions now are the insufficient answers you were provided in the past. For example, "because I said so".

Its' a "trick" question. You need more than two coordinates to ascertain space time. Chicken, egg are only two. The third coordinate is intent. Nuclear information of DNA passed through the egg to the chicken.

You have to think that at some point, evolution yielded something that we would call a chicken, but from parents which we would not call chickens. And that chicken came from an egg. So... an egg?

Seriously though, evolution occurs over such a timeline that it's impossible to define the first chicken, even if we were watching chickens evolve the whole time. So we can't really do that.

But I'm still convinced it was the egg.

Every chicken that is born is another step down the evolutionary chain from the chicken that came before it. We just take a large group of this evolutionary string and call it "chicken". But as biohazard said, we can't define the first chicken. We can't define any chicken, we can only define a group of things as chicken, not the individual. Therefore both chicken and egg fall under the life cycle of "chicken-ness" so there is "which came first" - they're cyclical. However if we take away the concept of "there is a species of animal that is called chicken", then it is seen that the chicken and the egg that came before it are on two different evolutionary levels, and shouldn't be compared. They just are.

Losing your mind? i read all your post and they make perfect sense. btw somehow my post always change topic? Btw science believes the egg came first because this other evolutionary creature like a chicken laid an egg in which we now call a chicken egg. But its not a chicken egg if another creature laid it right? wrong he gives a great example " if a kangaroo laid a duck egg wouldn't that egg still by all means be a duck egg because of its animal contents?" Btw the whole " I think therefore i am" thing doesnt cut it for me i know theres more to existence than knowing we exist

Yeah man its easy to notice if i lose my mind or not, if i do i usually become overly excited about life, if i had to look it up online iam a maniac bi-polar, manic depressive by Jimi Hendrix could have described myself for months after my trip lol but thank you for the support man......but then the question seems simple to ask on how did the other evolutionary creature begin to exist and that is where it comes back to water and cells, i believe its all adaptation....It barely cuts it for me too man, Life is connection plain and simple and the ability to connect with life i believe shows some kind of understanding for the universe...How can existence even be questioned?

Ahaha no problem man. i think existence can be questioned. i mean we as humans scientifically are animals so we see and think from a human perspective. i believe there is more around us that we cant comprehend no matter how big our brains are.

Is it the question of existence in general or the purpose?
