Nekkid is an awful word also. I tend to have mixed lingos I guess... I'm also developing the West country lingo lotsly and accents in some certain circumstances. Heehee! It be gurt lush! heehee! So much someone kept asking if I was from Devon! heehee!

 

well, the space to write a message on a mobile is limited, so i guess you can shorten the words using text language...that's fine as long as you can understand what the message is.
but i dont see the need to do it here, there's enough room to write whole words.
yeah i kind of hate it too.

 

I keep getting text messages written like that and it annoys me so much coz most of the stuff I can't even understand! I mean... goddammit people, I'm trying to become fluent in English, not in some weird text message slang.

 

well in my short period of life i have been slowly gaining information on pretty much everything, as have we all. now one of these gems of information, and i am unaware of how true it actually is, but i have built it into my reality as a truth simply because i haven't heard otherwise;(ooo the subjectivity of reality, don't you love it) however; this little gem of knowledge i refer to is that the reason for the english language being so ludicrously difficult to spell is due to the gentry wanting to make writing impossible for the peasents. so if this is true, then your aversion to text type, is merely a propogation of these middle and upperclass thoughts, not very liberal thinking is it. i think as long as you have half a brain you can work out text talk. and after all, if communication is just the translation of meaning, then as long as we all know what we mean, we have communicated well.


again, i am unsure as to the truth of the former statement, but im sure that someone will jump in and inform me of my stupidity if it is all a lie.

duuuuuuuuude!

 

man i have a phobia of all phones not just mobiles and i find it hard enough to read and spell english so text message speak fucks me up good and proper.

the funniest thing i heard the other day though are these weird new ringtones of animals and cars and things so that it is "less ofensive" when your phone goes off, but one of my friends has one of these and it is crickets, now i personaly love the sound of crickets (reminds me of summer in spain) but i can see how it really is such an iritating sound especialy if it goes off round somones house and you then turn your phone off, i can see my self going round my house trying to find the lickle creature to set him free outside.
