Heard that Derail, one of the last Old School A-Campers, died this morning of pancreatitis. He was in Missouri. Saw him about a year ago at Shawnee, and he didn't look real good. "You don't know what you got till it's gone." Too many damn obits. Somebody post something about having a baby, or getting married, or something.

Derail died on his way to missinhippy, of a siezure. Word from frontgate crew is that his memorial will be at missinhippy. Derail was a good brother and I for one was pretty shocked when I got the news the other day..........theirs been alot of tears shed over the past few days, I didn't even know Derail had left Shawnee.....it's sad really. He told starlight a couple weeks ago that he wanted one last good gathering, and that he was on his way out.....funny how things work out. I'll always remember how happy he was a few weeks ago one night we were sitting around the bliss pit at front gate gettin schwilly and he kept chucking skittles into this really busty cleavage on this alaskan mama...he was so happy, grinning and laughing......it was beautiful. I've had alot of good conversations with Derail.........he was one of the last of old school wrecking crew, and a good brother........i'm gonna miss him.
i was there when the skittle titty fiasco happened just a few days before derail passed and im gonna miss that kid i hope all the f.g. kids are taking it well ..i know hes in a better place ...the big gathering in the sky with a bottle and a smirk holdin it down
I'm so sorry he was a good brother. I met him a few years ago I think it was the michigan nationals. So many brothers and sisters passing.....Derail, little Hawk, cinnimon......I hope the other world is ready, I bet they are all over there having a beautiful gathering.
I think I knew him. How old was he. What did he look like? If someone can answer this question it would be extremely kind.
Dear group, I think I might have known him. Unless there are two Derails. Can anyone tell me approx how old he was and what he looked like? I have been thinking about him for a while and wondering what happened to him. I have not been able to gather as I did sadly because of my job. Peace. thank you all
