It's awesome how America makes a distinction between child and adult for every single thing except criminal justice.

    SOMEBODY LISTEN TO THIS MAN!

I recently saw an interview of a girl who was kidnapped along with her cousin while they walked to wendy's near their home. They were held as prisoners, and then pimped out against their will. It is not uncommon. It is just horrifying to think that a girl who was abused from such a tender age would be punished for killing the person responsible for torturing her. That is just crap.

Wow. Are you serious? This is why I hate this fucking country. I can't wait to get out of it. Seriously. Like I'm so sick of all the bullshit I hear. I wish another alien race would just come and wipe us off the face of the Earth. I pray that will happen someday. Or that the world will end. Either one satisfys me. All these politicians and judges and people think that they have more power than anyone to do whatever the fuck they want to do and play with people's life and throw them away like they aren't a living human being. They are ALL going to burn in hell. They have no power whatsoever. God will decide that for himself to who is almighty and who is not.

Well this is kind of angsty. Politicians and judges do have more power then the average person, this is why they're politicians and judges, basically as a world wide culture we have agreed on this fact.

Seems like such a waste, the guy she killed deserved it anyway.Any one turning out a 13 year old child deserves a fate worse than death in my opinion. That girl hardly seems to be a danger to anybody, just caught in bad circumstances and did what she had to do to survive. That law should be changed to at least have a hearing after 10 years or something. Some kids are lost causes but they should at least have a chance before a parole board because alot are worth saving.

I wonder how she did it. If it was particularly brutal she may have been found to be seriously disturbed or psychotic. I doubt it, but hey, I guess we don't know the whole story.

Very sad, though. Doesn't sound right at all. :(

interesting. this girl gets life in prison, w/ no chance of parole, for doin somethin out of a made for tv movie... lifetime hasn't bought up the rights to this yet?

sorry to be insensitive. this is yet another case of the punishment not fitting the crime. this happens quite often, although not with such dramatic cases. i have seen this happen firsthand, however. i was convicted of participating in the vandalism of a church... some trivial, petty shit. apparently, that makes me scum of the earth and gives the judge need to "pray for me", as he's sentencing me to 60 days in jail and 3 years of probation. at the same time, this fellow who was accused of molesting a 12 year old boy (and was found guilty) got a mere 15 days in jail, with no fine or probation. my point is, this shit happens everywhere.
