I had an interview with a telemarketing company that goes by the name of 1-2-1 Direct response. She asked me if they do a background check would anything pop up? I responded no, she then asked if I had any criminal history and again I responded no. I was never CONVICTED of a crime, considering juveniles are NEVER convicted of a crime, they're proven Delinquent. I'm 17 years of age; if they do a background check, will my misdemeanor show up?
I live in columbus ohio, and when i got my paraphernalia charge it got expunged, and i was 17 too. All they did was take us down to the station, do the whole shibang and have our parents come pick us up, so to answer your question, it should not show up
I just asked the same question to my English teacher except in context with college applications and she said that its completely off The same thing happened to me, except I was 15 and they "nollied" the case.
alright, thanks for the responses guys! I don't believe a juveniles record can be accessed actually... I know when you're of the age of 18 or older they can access it but I don't think they can access it when you're still under age.
I dont know. I have a misdemeanor.. i hope not. But i think so because its still something on your record?
the ONLY people i would ever disclose my juvenile arrests to would be the cops if they asked "have you ever been arrested before?" they like it when you're honest. if they ask that and you lie, they CAN look it up. i don't think employers or schools can though, and i never say shit about it...
