So I have a small basic titanium stud in my left nostril. I got it pierced in January 2009, on inauguration day to celebrate a new president!
But now I am wondering, do I need to replace the stud and/or get it re-bent(is it possible to rebend a nose stud/screw/L-bend with a slight twist? Lately it's been poking me too high up in the nostril every once in awhile and it also gets so that the ball is sticking up about half a centimeter off the outside of my nose. I guess its too large since the original swelling and initial nose bump has gone away.

i would get it refitted... most piercers will at least look at it and give you their professional opinion, then change it for free (you'd have to pay for new jewelry, but still). if it's poking you, it probably doesn't fit right

The only kind of nostril jewelry I'll wear anymore is L-shaped nosebones, if I'm not wearing a CBR. The screws make my nose tickle something fierce, and I'm not even about to fuck around with the bendy ones.
