Okay well I have to have a surgery on my arm for whatever reason. I caught the flu this past week, and has the surgery postponed from this past tuesday to tomorrow (friday) Since this happened, I get to get a clearance from my PCP (primary care physician) I go in there today thinking I am the shit because I'm not feeling like absolute crap anymore, but when my dr checks me out, she proceeds to freak out. Every part of my lungs sound like crap. She said if I went into general anesthesia, there was a probable chance that I could end up never waking up because my lungs are in such bad shape. Heres where the smoking comes in. She is telling me my lungs are too weak to be using while i'm trying to get better, let alone keeping up my habit. SHe told me to save my life, I need to quit. I wasn't being total med complaint with the mirage of inhalers and asthma medication i take. I thought I was doing fine, but she said I got used to my body feeling like shit, so I consider it normal. I know this may sound silly, but I do get few pleasures in life, and smoking is one of them. BUt in order to functionally live, I need to stop. I cried for a long time today. I smoked the biggest blunt I ever rolled, one more after that, and now I"m done. Frankly, this is an undertaking I"m not sure if I can do.
maybe you need to save up and buy a Volcano.. do you smoke cigs? bring up the option to your doctor that you wanna switch to E-cigs for ease of quitting and ask if its ok to inhale vapor.. if so.. then there is no reason to own a vape and continue smoking
PS: i just looked.. its scary when i see people my age have horrible problems.. makes me switch my ways right quick.. i may be investing in a vape.. been thinking about it for some time.. im always tryin to get healthier these days
Doctors have a bad habit of blaming all of your problems on drug use. "Oh, it's obviously most definitely the [insert drug of preference] causing your problem" I think this concept has been brainwashed into society and is so ingrained that people ignore the reality of the issue
combusted plant material of any kind.. when inhaled into your lungs on a regular basis.. is gonna cause respiratory problems.. thats where the problem lies... not with the drug itself.. but with how you are taking the drug
i dont' smoke cigs. i asked her about the vape, but she said something about it still being an irritant.
Dude, you shouldnt ask your doctor that. Haha they have google for a reason.. You don't have to quit... theeres other ways.. You can make muffins and brownies and that such or you can make cannabis pills... Requires no smoke..... no odor nothing.
do it, your lungs and wallet will thank ya, -I got my vape for only 150 and it is like the only vaporizer with a mineral heating element, which = healthy ( and i can get huge hits outta it ) -I sold some old stuff I didnt use anymore on craigslist and got it that way, so I didnt need to invest and save up, i made $200 in one day just selling old junk that collected dust -When I vape a bowl of chronic, i sometimes cant even finish it because I get so high, i figure i should save it for later - I <3 blowing vapor rings, just had to say that -With all the bud I vaporize, i ALWAYS save the leftovers and put them in a mason jar, once i save up around 50g I make budda, and it actually turns out very nice, the budda itself is light green! ( dont know how brown turns to green, but it does )
Im gonna guess this op goes to UPMC in pittsburgh pa.. the most manipulative health care providers on the continent ... I wouldnt believe their dr's anymore than I could toss them into the dirty mon river...
