do any of you fellow deadheads know of any good shows dates i could check out on archive and burn?it would be awesome if you guys could help me out.im only 17 so i havent been around long enough to have gone to shows and know of some good dates.thanks in advanced.
depends on your musical fancies. myself, i like stuff from 66 a lot... kinda like slightly psychedelic rhythm n blues. i donno man. it's a really simple process... check for the ones with 5 stars [indicative of audio quality ] and read reviews. plenty of good ones. here's a recommendation, though... 3-24-71 from the winterland ballroom. think that's the date. pretty sick show.

man, you oughtta just download torrents of the dick's picks albums. archive is kinda hard to get sdbd quality dead recordings from.
i dont mind when its sketchy audio quality but i did get dicks picks before i started poking around in the archive. i love shows from 77 and 78 but most stuff from the 70's is fantastic. definitely check out the may 77 shows cause they are incredible(i love the sugaree from may 24th i believe it is) definitely download europe '72 as well
1974-02-24 winterland... o yeah. the entire grateful dead movie soundtrack is mind blowing 1971-08-06 Hollywood. The hard to hand is self explainitory 1980-05-15 good stuff 1990-03-18 Civic center... Iko Iko --> Spoonful is an excellent sequence
without a doubt, 8-27-72 old rennaisance fairgrounds, veneta, oregon it is the peak of the mountain yo, sure everyone says so but there's a reason.... be sure to save for a long ride or something that you can give full attention and listen to beginning to end. other outstanding dates off the top of my head: anything at the matrix in 68', 2/70, 5/70, 4/29/71, 8/6/71, europe in 72', 73-74 are pouring with gems, can't go wrong in 75, 6/14-15/76 is my favorite donna stuff by far, 2/26/77. 5/8/77, acoustic/electric in 10/80, 10/10/82, 6/85, warlocks in 10/89, 3/24/95 w/bruce is best in 95 in my opinion...
