Christ told the apostoles who bascially were the first bishops to, "Forgive others in my name..." That is where we get the teaching from.

It's in there. I actually will have to look it up for you and everyone else interested, there is biblical proof for it, but a lot of it is in what is called the Apocrypha, 7 books that were in the original bible that contain alot of Catholic doctrine. These books were thrown out during the Protestant Reformation and thus are not in the King James Version Bible.

I went to Catholic school and got a great education.

Ahhh, so god is now directly involved with bodily functions? Thank you lord for the lovely bout of diarrhea. It was most enlightening.

Get over yourself. Your arrogance is sickening. No wonder people are getting sick of religious backwash. No matter what anyone says, you're ALWAYS right, aren't you? Brainwashed to the point of ignorance.

I am a christian (protestant) , and in summer I joined a missionary jounry to lithunania, were we worked together with many people from missionary organisations which are catholic, and they truly love Jesus and have a personal relation with them. I've learned overthere to put away my prejudice on catholics. I see them as christians now, and even though I still dont understand a lot of things, I know that there are many catholics who are truly my brothers and sisters, and are christians just as protestants are.

One of the persons that helped me learn this lesson was a young irish man called Kyle. He was raised protestant in Ireland and really hated catholics and fought them. But he made the choice to give himself to Jesus and now he works together with the people he used to fight, the catholics.

Jesus told His followers to love eachother. Its our witness of His love.

    hmmm,
I made stupid mistakes. I mean:
missionary jounry to lithunania: missionary journey to lithuania
personal relation with them: personal relation with Him

im a christian but i attended a gaelscoil run by a devout catholic woman and my secondary school was of a catholic ethos. motto on the wall engraved in a plaque and masses now and then etc...even had a prayer room too come to think of it. im now in a non denominational school. but i found that catholocism wasn't that bad. the basic teachings of catholocism are just that of christianity as a whole so i found no quarrel with it.

i didn't agree with the homophobia thing though. in our secondary level school, we were told if we brought a female to our debs [prom if you will] that we would be turned away because they don't condone lebbienism...even if the person you were bringing was just a platonic mate, it didn't give a good impression. wasn't into that at all at all.
