If one was doing the neglect route, but didnt want their dreads to get too many spider dreads and "congos", would a lil bit of t&r help keep them more organized? Or would it be useless considering your hair wouldnt be sectioned first? I know this isnt 100% true to the patience method, and Im not one of those people tryin to do it 100% that way. Also are there any pics or timelines of people who used a combination of methods to make their dreads?
I don't think it would help. I just say rip each and every day, or before you know it, you will have one giant dread. *also-I'm sure no one opts for 100% neglect. That wouldn't produce anything good to look at.
lol yeah I thought I should specify that I didnt want 100% neglect because I didnt want to see comments like "well thats not true to the neglect method"
t&r to start and separating congos are two different things... and what do you mean by spider dread? If you have no sections... you will have no congos, so... yes? aFoolOnaDread Thread my locks weren't made, they were grown... every day, are you serious? I've been waiting for congos for months...
To manipulate the shape you can wrap them with strings or use beads, but that can only make flat dreads more round (sometimes) and maybe cover up some bumpy spots. Or split one dread in two. You can only do so much with it.
maybe I just have super hair, but if I literally don't rip every day, they grow together in no time. I am letting three congo in the back, and they already look like one. I just just be super cool.
Interesting... so your congos aren't just at the roots then? Maybe when your locks get a little more mature/locked you won't have to worry about the invasion of the unidread
They travel downward quick. The entire back region of my head has like, three dreadlocks because I was too lazy to rip them. But yes, mine are loosey goosey and fondling every dread partner they come in contact with.
i found today my smallest dread at the back of my neck is mating at the root with a bigger one next to it. i thought about ripping them but they feel so happy together yeah whats a spider dread?
I had just assumed a 'spider dread' was when loose hairs tangle all the way down the dread making them stick together. It made sense in my head.
aah, i assumed spider dread is when the roots lock together but the length doesnt so they look like spider legs...
LOL … He is an Ex-Hindu Anti-Semite Zionist turned Raelian from Iceland. He preaches against eating various types of vegetables due to the pain they incur when being removed from the ground. Part of his Raelian beliefs overlap with the Moon Landing Conspiracies, David Icke’s theories on reptiles and that the Finish Royal Family are descendents of Chihuahuas. The moustache represents that he would like to live in harmony with horses and that he has no intentions of eating them or using them to generate renewable energy in his Vertical Farming Projects in Alaska.
Oh sorry guys. When I said spider dread I meant a dread that starts off as one, but then branches of into several dreads halfway down.
