Today I finally fixed my sleeping rythm, feeling GREAT! Getting enough sleep really affects your mood and how you feel. Later today I'm going to Lillestrøm to hang up posters for RU (Rød Ungdom), a left-wing youth political party. Good vibes for today :)

We are meeting with the rental agent to apply to rent our dream home today. It`s a 4 bedroom house on a small acreage. The property is set up for chickens, ducks, rabbitts, sheep and pigs and also has a huge greenhouse, lots of fruit trees and garden beds. The house has a wood stove that not only heats the house, but also heats up water for the hot water tank. It also has a spa tub with jets. :) There is a huge deck with the most amazing view of the lake and mountains and its a short walk down the road to the beach and boat launch. It has everything we have ever dreamed!
    Send good vibes my way!

dam that sounds like my dream home too, lucky bastard.

Bit of an edit to say I'm feeling a touch guilty because someone I know (not terribly well) wants me to lend her quite a large sum of cash, and I've told her I don't have it, which is true but I could easily obtain it. I've lent her money in the past and got it back but I just don't feel like I should be expected too, and while I believe she probably does need it I don't necessarily believe she needs it for the reasons she claims. I also imagine that if she was 25 and single and white then I'd probably be far more inclined to lend her money. Not feeling terribly christian atm.

I went to a pumpkin farm and did all the fun stuff that comes along with that.

Yesterady we went to a museum and had to go through picketing employees... I wouldn't have minded had they not been giant assholes about it. I wonder how ppl expect support from the public when tons of ppl are losing their jobs... They even lied about the contents of the museum to try and deter us.

I haven't typed thsi on here yet, but my biggest client for online marketing, um... seems to have, well, canceled my acct. So, I'm pretty close to unemployed. I have a small income from other clients, but not near what this acct was worth. Pretty devastating for our family and I'm pretty bummed about the whole thing. I'm going to have to work hard to get my income back up, but since I'm self employed I do not get EI or anything. :(

Heavy Sister ... I'm really sorry to hear of your difficulties and I feel for you.

Unfortunately we exist in a world which is governed by a system that is increasing unemployment every year as opposed to increasing employment. For many years it was thought that large scale unemployment was a product of a lack of progress in developing and least developed countries and that by these countries progressing / modernising they would be able to reduce unemployment ... that these countries needed to be more like the developed countries.

However, and as many have argued over the years, the issue is The System ... and now with unemployment and the various other problems that have traditionally affected poorer countries also affecting wealthier countries, it is clear that those arguing the point in the past were, well, not far from the truth.

Unemployment is a psychologically devastating experience, as it robs a person of their independence, their dignity, inner strength and self respect ... it's belittling. No being able to be independent is humiliating, it's a theme that has been at the centre of the Black Consciousness movement for decades ... and of course as more peeps that don't fall into the category of being 'black' are finding themselves in the second class citizen category, the appeal of activists like Malcolm X is broadening.

Sister, there is no way that anyone can give you or anyone else advice on how to approach being independent within societies that are failing their peeps, but I will say to you and anyone else whose income has / is being affected negatively ... from my ongoing difficult experience, whatever you do, don't blame yourself, self respect is not something that one should ever compromise. I don't want to go into my ongoing hassles, but maintain your dignity Sister and know that whatever happens you are a Queen in the eyes of The Most High.

    Give Thanks And Praises!

Run to him daisy like they do in the films!

Had a date with my husband last night, was good. We drank way too much and did a rendition of 'don't let the sun go down on me'. It was hilarious. I just washed my hair I can't place which Bronners I used.
