I feel like he is going to somehow find out about this and kill me. Well- I found some pictures or him (a truly rare thing) and I can't resist sharing them with you. They are two years and five months, backcombed, no maintenance, no wax. Personally, I LOVE them. Long and wild, my personal inspiration.
Hanging out with those locks sounds way better than the inspiration thread. When I was in the "thinking about dreading" phase I went on vacation with my sister and saw her young natural locks and she see me strait on a good path. Not that I have anything against backcombing, but it just wasn't for me. We have pretty similar hair which is something that I never found out until I stopped getting haircuts 5 years ago. Anyways seeing some sibling lockidge makes me wish I could see how my sister's are doing... maybe snap a photo or two Peace
People think it is strange that our mum doesn't have dreadlocks, or long hair at all. (That seemed relevant for some reason. Oh well)
His hair was originally about the same length, but after backcombing it shrank a bit, and continued until it was about at his shoulders. I think finally at about the two year mark, it stopped shrinking and started growing like crazy! And your welcome, Daisy
right on..gotta love the blondie locks! I just finished mine & there about up to my shoulders - -I'm using the same method as him so hopefully mine will look similar to his in 2 years!
He let some girlies dye two of them...One is green and blue and pink, and the other one has horizontal striped of purple down the entire dread('coontails' I've heard it called) But the striped one looks SOOOOOO long when he holds it out.I mean, it sort of creates an optical illusion, and add that to the length he's got, it looks about four feet long! (Those are after this picture was taken)
That is why I don't like walking next to him, People go "Hey, Nick! I LOVE your hair!" and the notice me and go "oh, ...are you ...trying to get dreads too?' I'll have my time eventually.
