Oh I see....it's not bad enough that we have to suffer the social stigma of being intersex/trans, we also have to say we're sex offenders in order to get the medical treatment we need? Weird, as France is de-classifying transsexualism from being a mental illness, we have Australia trying to make it look like trans/intersex people are rapists/peodophiles? As we take a step forward, we're forced 2 steps back. Nothing really surprises me as far as ignorance towards trans/intersex people goes. But that has genuinely shocked me. Nice to know that somwhere in the world I'd be branded a "sex offender" just because I was born with a physical defect which has already ruined my life, and which I had no choice in. That is just disgusting.
That is discrimination plain and simple. Class action all the way to the High Court of Australia and sue for billions. It is the only way governments listen when it costs them bucks of money from bad policy.
