I hear that moldavite is a really powerful stone. I read a bit about it and it seems like it would be possible for it to overwhelm the user. This might be a really dumb sounding question, but what if someone kept it on them all the time and actually ate some of the moldavite (yes the stone) would this potentially have adverse effects?
I don't know a lot about this stone so I couldn't tell you, but everyone reacts to certain stones and herbs differently. It's possible that it would overwhelm you, but you will have to use the stone first and see what your relationship to it is. You can try carrying it for a day and see what happens. Connecting too much with any one energy can have adverse effects, but it all depends on where your own energy is at. You should also be careful of becoming too dependent on a stone. As for eating it...well I don't recommend it unless you know for sure that it's edible...some minerals are very poisonous. You could use it to charge water and drink the water, like an essence. If it's polished it should be okay, but you should prob ask someone that's more of an expert on these things.
I had a bit of moldavite once (about 10 years back), it's a green coloured glass-like stone which is found in meteors ... it does not occur naturally on earth. Because of this it's considered to be helpful in connecting with cosmic energys and the stone is supposed to have a high vibration. The effects of stones are rather subtle to our senses and in my experience of carrying a piece of moldavite around in my pocket is that it can be a little spacey or ungrounding. I asked a woman in a crystal shop about it once and she suggested i balance it with a piece of ruby or garnet so help me stay grounded, so i bought a piece of garnet ...which did seem to help. But it could all just be psychosomatic ... that i felt a little spacey anyway depite the stone. Who knows? I agree with leona about not becoming dependent on stones ... or any other object or tool. Spiritual growth happens as it happens and insight comes in it's own time ... and no trinkets or trappings are neccesary. So i don't go in for things like that these days ... but as far as stones are concerned, if you do wish to carry a stone i'd suggest a simple quartz crystal. BTW some people leave their modavite in a glass of water for a while before drinking it... a more sensible (and cost effective) way to consume moldavite vibes if you ask me.
