Not many people in the forums know me... But thats ok this will make it fun.. I am looking for a sweet and unique nickname. any suggestions?
For a nickname to be "authentic", it needs to be earned. Earning it isn't a labor; it's something that is revealed. It's a reflection of how others perceive us. Reveal yourself truly and the nickname will come to you unrequested. Understand, though, that sometimes the nickname we earn isn't one we may have wanted.
I have about 7 nicknames, maybe only one of them I like My real name lends itself to plenty of nicknames!
Windchild. You like outdoors, you're young and there's something about Medecine Hat that makes me think of native americans so I've tried to encompass these 3 ideas into a nickname for you.
Request denied. Nickname rules state you cannot request a nickname, or bestow one upon yourself. It takes away from the original charm of the nickname.
after I ended up making this thread,.... I met 2 new people and they ended up randomly calling me things, which I am content with. Truckstop and Pineapple
Truckstop sounds like a serviceable hippie nickname, although maybe not so, uh... girl-ish. Lord knows we spent enough time in truckstops. Sometimes the big ones had showers for the truckers and you could sneak in a get free wash-up. Frequently, the waitress would spot you a bowl of soup or chili, if you were polite and offered wash dishes or mop. They almost never made us work for food, although we were always sincere in offering. Most cafe's and restaurants were good for a bowl of chili when you were really down, but we hated to stop long enough to eat. We'd practically drink it in one gulp and get back out on the road, because every car that went by was a potential 500 mile ride that we didn't want to miss.
i dont even know how truckstop came to be...all i remember was standing outside the college talking to this guy I just met... and the next day he started calling me truckstop.... I do remember mentioning a truckstop but I dont remeber why (I was drinking for the record)
