I believe every alternative to abortion should be made available. Further, I believe birth control should be easily available in order to prevent unwanted pregnancies which lead to abortions. I am not pro-abortion I am pro-choice. I believe the choice for abortion should be unrestricted, including, unfortunately, "the women who have 14 abortions a year because they get drunk and fuck too much..." That is the downside to freedom of choice, but it is something we need to accept.

 

Point is: there are much more effective ways to show those women "the love of christ" than screaming at them with pictures of aborted fetuses...

 

Fortunately, most people don't share your callousness. Gallbladder surgery doesn't produce a corpse.

I've picketed several abortion mills in my lifetime, and I've never known a pro-life demonstrator to scream at anyone. Most either pray silently or sing hymns. This is even true of rescuers who conduct peaceful blockades. Their conduct and demeanor usually contrast sharply with the venomous (yet vacuous) chants of pro-abortion counter-demonstrators.

 

i think it's really sickening and funny (in a sickening type of way)... the people that call themselves "pro life" yet murder abortion doctors or put bombs in clinics. (bill hicks has something really funny about that)

i had an abortion 7 years ago....(wouldnt do it again but that's the past)... while i was in there... someone called in a bomb threat and we all had to walk outside, and those people were across the street screaming at us.

it was ridiculous.

Well you get different people belonging to different groups in different places who do things differently don't ya . Seriously though, obviously some here have witnessed the screaming, invasive pro-lifers, just as you have witnessed the same from pro-choicers. I have a friend who's own uncle has been to jail many times for bombing or attempting to bomb abortion clinics. He and his wife and daughter even started yelling at her for doing an illustration, for her class, of her own pro-choice views. She ended up walking out on them because they kept getting in her face and berating her. She's never even been pregnant or had an abortion. They are militant in their ways and they are damn proud of it :/.

I find it strange that you can call us assholes, but when we (the right) call war protestors assholes we are supressing freedom of speech with mean-spirited-hate-speech!

 

at every anti-war protest there is some asshole with a megaphone, and unfortunately he usually gets the most attention. But I agree, some anti-war protestors are complete assholes, and no one gets angrier at them than me. If you don't agree with them and the act like assholes, you just think "wow, what assholes," but if they share a common belief with you you just think "wow, i wish he would just shut the fuck up he's giving the rest of us a bad name."
That being said, i never said that these people should be forced to stop, or that they shouldn't have the right to do what they do, they are just in my opinion assholes. That's my right. As i said before, you have the right to say anything you want, and i have the right to ridicule you mercilessly about it.
