lol you can talk that way here. I remember feeling like my parents were controlling me..it was the start of my need to get the fk away from them. they sent me to counceling..i hated it. they talked to my teachers..I hated it. I just wanted everyone to leave me alone. It was a constant batleground in my house. I have a kid now. He's 3. I try to be the best mom I can..but it's hard to feel like your doing the right thing as a parent..you always want feedback from yoru kid by how they act how happy they are. And you just want to be more independant and to yourself. I understand this. You jsut have to be really honest with your parents about how you feel without being angry about it.
My parents won't listen. Kids don't have a voice or matter in this world, nor does thier feelings or opionions (sp?) matter in this fast paced evil world.
Hey AwesomePawsome, you're in good company; it seems that Aspergers is one of those conditions where, even though there are drawbacks to having it, there may also be some advantages, if you cultivate them. I know somebody a couple years older than you that has it, and as long as he keeps conscious of the fact that he needs to pay a little more attention than most to the effect his actions and words have on those around him, his intelligence will serve him very well. http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/9.12/aspergers_pr.html
I don't think i have any true friends and I am 15 You seem more like you are more mature than most kids your age and that might be your problem I had that problem but than I learned to lower my maturity (Ass-ber-gurs does sound funny to me) Maybe, you should just mispronounce Aspergurs on purpose or even make a new name for it I do think the name sounds funny but I would never make fun of it (just laugh to myself) if someone actually made fun of it, that is a person you shouldn't be friends with anyway Just by the level of this conversation i think you have a social level of higher than a 12 year-old and that you have a higher level of understanding than that doctor says
This is true. I'm reading a book on it right now, and there is speculation that Albert Einstein had Asperger's.
Dude your 12. You will grow so much in the coming years. You will be a tottle different person. Just give it time.
