not another shpongle thread! yeah, i love their music and they don't half put on a show.. but there's much better out there (doing shows for much cheaper, too :p)

on the subject of posford and OTT though, i'm WELL into the new 'In Dub: LIVE' album.. lotta videos on youtube but the album as a whole is an excellent journey with interesting twists on the original tunes..

as far as shpongle are concerned, i'm just awaiting the next album.. 'ineffable mysteries of shpongleland'.. can't wait.

they're a full band now for live shows, or so i've seen in recent interviews.
guess it was something to see.
and the psychedelic decor/costumes they wore were probably mind blowing.
    that's shpongle!

i saw a dj set in june (2009) and it wasnt that good at all...but i saw ar eview of a show a week or so later in North Carolina where he had a full band...and apparently it was pretty good, but Ott was very excellent when i saw him that same night in June 09'...imo Ott > Shpongle, but hey thats just me...

if you want some new electronic music, try KiloWatts...one of the best in my humble opinion..

no full band shows in U.S.

unless it was at Cave Rave. in which case that writer was on so many drugs they had no idea what the fuck... cuz it was a dj set.

it's not even a dj set either, it's just not a full band.

I saw him in Montreal in 98, he did a Hallucinogen Live at night and shpongle dj set in the afternoon

it was a good set, i dont know why you didnt like it or what you expected???

He cant do a live shpongle without Raja Ram who rarely tours..... too bad

Also check out Easily Embarrassed. Same sort of style as Shpongle but with more 'zoonky' sounding synths...

But yeah, the live show in London this year was awesome, better than last years due to the improvement in sound quality. Had loads of fun dancing to the new album.
