sometimes I feel like I have to ware a helmet to work to dodge flying things...once we were sleeping on his floor way back when he first could walk and he woke before I did and got the digital camera from the table and I opened my eyes to it smashing into my face. Obviously wasnt trying to hurt me...but man...its like no other job thats for sure.

I hear ya. I have gotten so many busted lips from Virginia. She went threw a phase of thrashing her head back while I held her, and she ALWAYS busted my mouth! And whenever she slept with us, she would roll around and hit me in the face! Now, she loves to climb. She gets up on every chair, tries to climb the bookcases, everything. She's very fearless.

My kids are 3 and 6.

When my daughter was 2 I thought "Oh what do people mean, terrible two's? She's a piece of cake".....

Then she turned 3  :& . 3 and 4 are REALLY HARD ages because they still lose their temper but now they have the verbal skills that go with it.

She's 6 now and finally coming back to being reasonable about things when she's unhappy. But now I have a 3 year old son too so I just get from him what she doesn't give me anymore, lol.

I'm sorry but I just have to say..I know what clingy is! I too stay at home 24/7 with my 23 month old. I have raised two of her siblings beyong this stage and niether of them were this "clingy" ,the word that angered that other poster so much lol! She does not wish to quit breastfeeding. An almost two year old that I battle with every single day over this subject. I've never had this problem before, the other two quit on thier own. When I say clingy I mean she doesn't want me to do dishes, or laundry or anthing but hang out with her. And much as I love her to death and I think she is a cool little person, I, like apple spark, not only need a few moments to myself, but also have two other children who need help with thier homework, and clean dishes and clean clothes and to get breakfast and taken to the bus on time. I do cherish my children very very much. As I'm sure everyone else here does :) And I dread the time coming when they will hate to be seen with me in public. I hope it never does come. Though my nine almost ten year old and I are battling more and more, we are still close and she talks to me about most things going on in her life. Does anyone else in this thread have a ten yr old that looks like she is about to start her period?? Maybe I should start a new thread lol! Anyway, my point being, being a mom is tough ..it takes all of you and I don't think there is anything wrong with feeling frustrated sometimes. This is certainly a nice place to go to seek support from other parents :):)

Clingy is when she comes running up to you crying saying "hold you, hold you!!" when you are sitting on the toilet!:p
