i'm seeing a simon dj set in la at the key club this thursday, i think ott's gonna be there too anybody catch any of these shows? i bet its gonna be fun anyway yea this forum is dead, but i bet another shpongle thread can/will bring it back to life
not another shpongle thread! yeah, i love their music and they don't half put on a show.. but there's much better out there (doing shows for much cheaper, too ) on the subject of posford and OTT though, i'm WELL into the new 'In Dub: LIVE' album.. lotta videos on youtube but the album as a whole is an excellent journey with interesting twists on the original tunes.. as far as shpongle are concerned, i'm just awaiting the next album.. 'ineffable mysteries of shpongleland'.. can't wait.
yea i'm likely gonna hear some new tunes tonite it is just a dj set, but i've heard he puts on a good show nonetheless and it'll be a fun crowd hey psygrunge throw up some artists you speak of

ooooohhhh myyyy! go see this show seriously just got back, had to post my excitement full review tomorow i'm feasting/recovering from dancing
they're a full band now for live shows, or so i've seen in recent interviews. guess it was something to see. and the psychedelic decor/costumes they wore were probably mind blowing. that's shpongle! shpongleyes
believe me mate i can't wait!! how much they charging for tickets these days?! i'm just waiting for "i.m. of s."; hear them all in high quality. WELL looking forward to it. glad you had a good time mate.
i saw a dj set in june (2009) and it wasnt that good at all...but i saw ar eview of a show a week or so later in North Carolina where he had a full band...and apparently it was pretty good, but Ott was very excellent when i saw him that same night in June 09'...imo Ott > Shpongle, but hey thats just me... if you want some new electronic music, try KiloWatts...one of the best in my humble opinion..
just saw shpongle with the full live band at ozora festival! and with live i mean 100% live!! was amazing! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yccbx6tw4ug
dude i saw simon dj set back in may and they had people pt on stage in psychedleic black light friendly costom doing all sorts of things (some of em were my friends, it was a volunteer thing)...did he have that at your shows?!?! fuckn amazing show! my second time and the best time, i have yet to see shpongle though
they had all kind of dancers from yoga dance to african... all the artist were bodypainted and with masks. i think they were +10 artists on stage.
no full band shows in U.S. unless it was at Cave Rave. in which case that writer was on so many drugs they had no idea what the fuck... cuz it was a dj set. it's not even a dj set either, it's just not a full band.
I saw him in Montreal in 98, he did a Hallucinogen Live at night and shpongle dj set in the afternoon it was a good set, i dont know why you didnt like it or what you expected??? He cant do a live shpongle without Raja Ram who rarely tours..... too bad
if you like shpongle check out Sundial Aeon awesome psychedelic chillout artist from portugal myspace.com/sundialaeon flow-records.com
Also check out Easily Embarrassed. Same sort of style as Shpongle but with more 'zoonky' sounding synths... But yeah, the live show in London this year was awesome, better than last years due to the improvement in sound quality. Had loads of fun dancing to the new album.
