I'm a quaker (the church lies to you, the bible is fucked, if god tells you something, believe that, otherwise, it's not worth trusting) And I'm a left leaning Libertarian (I think that we should have a government that serves the people, and that is strong enough to maintain governance, but weak enough that it is only capable of serving the people, and not capable of controlling, or manipulating them, a diffuse and local system, that is linked purely for the purpose of sharing resource, a moss, instead of a tree.) They are, by design similar. I am curious if your own experience is the same.
I think my spiritual beliefs align pretty well with my practical (I hesitate to say political) ones. I believe in personal spirituality, and in finding one's own peace with Creation. Politically, I believe in individual freedom and self-sufficiency, small (preferably local) government, and individual rights as the highest ideal.
