Hi all, I bought the book (written by Stephen Gaskin) at a second hand shop recently. I'm half through it at the moment and I'm a little bit disappointed. IMHO it's boring, the stories aren't witty, too much 'telepathy' in it. And, well, I don't like the style of the used language. Might be that I'm not the right audience for such a book, but what are your opinions about it? The same author had written several books. Should I give him a second chance? Regards Gyro
Good morning, to answer the question in its whole generality: nothing is wrong with telepathy, except... . Even if telepathy is used as a metaphor it is used way too often in that book. What is telepathy, what does it mean to you? Another example is The Alchmist by Paulo Coelho, which I find a good read. It's a story about a guy following his dream and the people (or spiritual messengers as others might say) he met during his journey. Next I read The Pilgrimage from the same author and I was kind of disappointed. Coelho depicted too many phenomena that are over my mind . According to the author the book is non-fictional. But there are too many things in it that I don't understand and that I can't believe. Regards Gyro
Hi, my copy was printed in the early eighties. This popular on-line bookshop seems to have some reincarnations of the book. Some of them might be available. Regards Gyro
