I have been directed this way from another forum.
I have been a contributer to a forum centered on VW campers for a few years. Sounds like I should get a life, I know, but it is very usefull in terms of technical tips and keeping my van on the road. But, like all discussion forums, it grew into a sort of semi political debating board. Now, given that many folk with VW campers are somewhat hippifeid middle class, I used to get a reasonable debate going which could prove to be very enlightening. But, the board has become a victim of its own success, absolutley full of people quoting tabloid moral panic statements with loads of heresay isolated incidents as examples of, for example, why we should "get rid" of all our assylum seekers/travellers (labelled 'pikeys' of course) etc etc.... and full of anger at the decent hard working white guy being the only true victim in our society.
Well, needless to say, time for more stimulating chatter.
Have you guys got what it takes?
Can we enlighten each other?

Well, Hip Forum Member 'Paul' was the guy who pointed me in this direction. He seems to be a pretty enlightened chap, well informed to say the least.

Welcome. You can find some good debate material in the Politics forum... But, I'm not sure, you might have to have "member" status to enter there... There is also the Environment forum and the Protest forum...

We have some very intelligent and quite articulate members on our little hippy site. I'm sure you won't be too bored...
