Why is the marketing for All legal drugs full of shit?

First off .. I have done the main popular illegal drugs except for Heroin.

I have tried some "Legal" drugs a while back ... I'm looking at all these websites that are selling Legal drugs online - and I will click on something that says "Legal MDMA" and read the description and it will be something like "THIS IS THE BEST DRUG EVER THAT IS LIKE MDMA .. THERE IS NO OTHER ONE THAT IS SIMILAR ... THIS IS THE ONLY ONE"

so then .. i go to like .. 12 other sites and find different products .. with different chemicals in them ... and they all have the same advertising .. surely not all 12 of them can be the most similar ...

I don't understand the whole legal drug thing anymore .. when I tried like 4 legal drugs about 5 years ago .. they were all a massive let down.

 

It's about money... since the market is somewhat shady, there's nothing to prevent false advertising.

well legal drugs are obviously appealing to drug users who want a high but they just want it to be legal, so they want to reference other drugs which the targeted group might have enjoyed like mdma, but can't because it's not legal. it probably wouldn't be as appealing if they said it was just "good", they want to create a reference that the buyer knows and would like.

because none of them are really regulated through any standards, they can make those claims because they won't say that those claims are researched or anything, so they can get away with it... basically they don't really "guarantee" anything formally they just say it.

it's intentionally indirect and it's definitely questionable, but it's exactly how i'd expect any business to act when trying to make money/sell their product.

but yeah there are definitely some worthwhile ones, like porkstock said you just have to be more specific and familiar with what's proven.

but for the record, RC's are not a "legal high"...if you want one of those go buy a fifth of booze and a pack of cigs.

 

The person selling it to you should not be your source of knowledge on what you're buying. Google, wikipedia, erowid, bluelight, hipforums, these are your friends, more than merchants.

For that matter, so is Kratom, Amanita Muscaria, Salvia (though that's changing), Betel But, Kava Kava, Sinicuichi, HWBR, etc...

There are tons of other herbs that have lesser degrees of psychoactivity, just a lot of people don't like them because they aren't the same as pot.

 

Because by in large, legal drugs suck. That's why their legal.

 

Seems like there is a group of people here who might not know the joys of RCs
