So, I've decided that I want to dye em'. I have fairly dark brown dreads, and I want to do the tri-colour thing. Here are the options I have scaled it down to:

Forest: Bleach two thirds of dreads, dye half the blond ones light green, half of em dark green, resulting in a brown/l.green/d.green combo

Fire: Bleach em all. Dye a third orange, and a third red. Blonde/orange/red.

do ya think that either of these would work out? I realise that they will fade, mix, and whatnot, but I am not opposed to messiness. Any advice? How to bleach, how to dye, whether it'll look great or shitty, whatever you think will help (or amuse). I know pics would help, I'll try get some up soon.

also, I'm fairly sure they are old enough to handle it (six months in) but how long would people reccomend waiting before dyeing?

you can dye them whenever realli. I dye mine just like I did my normal hair except you need more dye as the dreads soak up the dyee uhHUHHH om, as for the tri-colour thing, in my head it would look dumb as...but maybe if it's done right it could look good?! my friend dyed hers pink and blonde,,,every second one blonde. that looked good. I think it'd look better and be easier to do them just one colour? but whatever you think:)if your planning on changing the colour often than start off with dying it light colours after the bleaching. if you use reds first instead of blues the red is supa hard to get oot.

I think either of the color schemes would work well - the colors would mix without looking bad, it's really are you a more neutral person or bright and shiny like a skittle?

The green scheme would have the advantage of doing less damage to your hair -
but green fades into a really yucky color over bleached hair. (in my opinion)

dude if u have dark brown hair ur hair might not bleach to blonde the first time and this is just my opion but green is a horrid horrid color on hair and fades fast and i think ud regret it

i think its be better if u keep half of em brown and bleached an assorment of them ligter :)

yeah, I'm still unsure of the green simply because of the fade colour, even though I love green hair, and I don't want to be "touching up", or anything like that. I probably will just go for a brown/lighter mix at first, then maybe throw a colour in at some point. Thanks for the help:)

Ahoy ... doesn't bleaching cause permanent damage to hair?
