Is it as introspecitve as acid?, would a eigth to myself alone be too much?, or would taking half and then taking another half equal it out nicely?....I plan on being by myself in a personal place where nobody knows about and walking around with my ipod...Is music on mushrooms clearer?, ive only taken it once before and i never listened to music on it before but the last time i took it i kind of had a look into what was ahead of me, or thats what it seemed like, iam not a mystic or anyhting of that nature but i just seen it as personal after it was all said and done...Iam hoping for as personal as personal can get....Once i find out what kind of shrooms iam recieving ill let it be known. edit-iam really excited lol
the music you listen to will ***GREATLY*** influence your trip, especially your first time. Choose a more interesting piece rather than a comforting piece, for the interesting piece will make your trip more epic, while the lulling piece will only smother your high in comfort. If you take a high enough dose, its got nothing to do with your personal life. nothing whatsoever. a proper dose of mushrooms is just a completely ego-less communion with everything, in a sea of unfathomable bliss and empathy. if you take a low enough dose then yeah, like all psychs, if youve got "issues" you'll probably have the same "issues" while tripping and then I don't know what to tell you, deal with it.
Yeah an interesting piece like The Piper at the Gates of Dawn. Its a master piece. Listen to it when your facing hard. Last time I tripped the album came on, and I was like "what the fuck is this"? It sounded so different, so beautiful, perfect. That album was made for LSD. But Im sure it goes well with mushrooms too. I dont listen to much music on shrooms, I always plan to but end up forgetting.

I'm on my way down from 1.2g hawaiians, they were great! I hadn't tried them before. The visuals were immense! The CEV were DMT like when I lay down during the peak. At first there were waves of energy passing over my body and then flowing through me then I was surrounded by entities, I couldn't really see them properly as it was as if I was looking at them through some weird pattern filter. They were surprisingly introspective too, I'd heard they were pretty much all visual. I ended up confronting a lot of things and almost feel like a new person. These mushrooms certainly are magic. :hurray:
Haha so true man. And early Floyd is absolutely fantastic on psychedelics, I've been listening to Piper for like three years now and didn't TRULY get it until listening to it on acid a while ago. The Allmans at Fillmore East is another one oohh my god anything with Duane Allman (maybe just cuz I'm a total Duane freak) :cheers2:
Depends what you call hard rock. Anything new age hard rock 80's to now is kinda meh. There's a lot of great 90's stuff that goes great with psychedelics but in the end it's all about what you like and what speaks to you but if you want I'll go through my library and give you a list of great stuff, just to keep in mind. Oh and check out the sig PS Can't go wrong with the 60s stuff though!
So true. Grateful dead is amazing sober, but on shrooms or acid, it's like "whoa". No other way to put it. I also reccomend hendrix, especially "May this be love" and Foxey Lady". I'm a huge Floyd freak, so I would say piper for sure, and The album "Animals".
It makes me full like im 8 years old and I have a lot of pep, It also gives me this scrapper mentality
fuck ya @ piper + lsd. that shit was made for that shit. i didn't get it truly either myself until i was on 5 hits and astronomy dominae came on. WOW. And then right when you think you're about to enter warp speed or something I've got a bike, you can ride it if you like . . . it all comes crashing down and down and down . . . so beautiful I personally don't listen to hard rock a lot, but even if I did I wouldn't recommend it for shrooms. shrooms is very gentle. i dont mean to say it cant get intense or downright abusive, but its not like a "rock out" experience, its more of a "my face is trying to swim" experience, with lots of laughing, visuals, and a great body high.
turns out i did not trip on shrooms, things just didnt go through, sorry for posting a pointless thread but i hope it brought some conversation into this section of the forums, if not i will light myself on fire. lol
