So one of my brother's friends (now ex-friends)...stole my camera and the lenses and memory card this weekend and sold it for drugs/drug money. I can't find who he sold it to and he won't tell me...he also got arrested later that weekend, on a different charge, so there's no way of me trying to get him to tell me. I'm just really bummed about it, to say the least. Photography is one of my greatest passions...I'm so depressed right now. It even had pictures on it from a recent date that I hadn't taken off yet. My parents saved up forever to get it for me. It was a Canon Rebel Xt. Its going to take a while before I have enough money for another one...I'm a starving college student about to graduate and have to pay back loans. There was really no point to this thread other than to vent...sorry.
If he was arrested why don't you tell the cops? They could get possibly more answers out of him than perhaps you could? Sorry to hear about it all, sounds crap.
I thought about doing that but even if I do I doubt I will get it back...in the condition it was in anyway. And I don't have physical proof that he did it, I just know it was him. He was the only person in my house (everyone was at school/work), and when we got home he was gone and so was my camera. No one else had been there and I checked to make sure it was where I left it that morning before I went to class.
Oh thats sucks hun. Some ppl just do not care about other ppls feelings at all. I had a canon myself. Nice cam. I did alot picture taking. I worked for the power company . so I had a bucket truck. I got alot pics other ppl could not get. The extra 60ft. in hieght was pretty nice.
I agree with BBAD.. that is really fucked up. I hope the camera turns up somewhere, or you can get another one soon! Do you think he might of pawned it? You could check out nearby pawn shops to see if its there.
Yeah that really sucks, i have recently gotten into stop motion animation and i'd feel shit if i couldn't do that anymore. It might still be worth mentioning it to the cops, not to charge him, just to find your camera. I know you said it is a long shot but it is still a shot!
