ok so i shaved my pubes the other day. its a little uncomfortable now but i can live with it. i was wondering if i shave often, like every other day, will it stop being uncomfortable when it grows back. also will my skin become accustom to being shaved to the point where i dont need shaving cream. ive seen girls shave their legs and pubes just like that so i was wondering if a guys skin would react the same way. i like being bare, but am not a fan of being uncomfortable afterwards. thanks

After a few weeks of regular maintenance the discomfort will be completely gone. I wouldn't do it without shaving cream though, it just doesn't seem like a good idea, especially down there. I do my face without cream, but the skin down below is pretty sensitive, so its not worth the possibility of razer burn IMO.

I don't shave ANYTHING without some kind of cream [I actually usually use conditioner]. I also don't shave more than twice a week. If I do it any more frequently, I hate my life. A lot.

if you keep it up it will soon become more comfortable
but dont let it grow out and then shave it
it will have the same effect it has now
    gotta keep it up
oh and make sure that you rub the shaving cream between your hands to warm it up first and that you are not cold at all
if you have goose bumps at all well...ouch
    and put lotion on afterwards
    good luck

It'll become more comfortable overtime, but use cream at first, otherwise it'll be even more uncomfortable. Now adays I, personally, don't really use cream, and not to brag, but I haven't gotten razor burn, I'm ultra careful with shaving around that area.

Any skin is a little tender when you first start to shave it - even on your face, but it soon becomes acclimatised to the blade.

As far as shaving foam is concerned, whilst you obviously need some sort of shaving lubricant, I always shave my pubes whilst in the bath, and have always found standard bath soap to be ideal. Plus it has the added advantage of being able to enjoy masturbate with the lubrication of a full lathering beforehand, if you so choose.

Most importantly, don't apply pressure to the blade - let it find its own route - you'll find that's all it needs.

The skin will get use to being shaved. Try to use a multi blade razor (3 or 4) and hair cond. I would go more than twice a week, as it may cause razor burn. Also apply lotion afterwards. Is the pubic area the only area you shave??

Why the devil does anyone shave their pubes? I can see a bikini cut for bushy girls, but men too? Who are you trying to impress and why? If it's for the opposite gender, you're opening yourself to a charge of being pussywhipped (cock strangled, for the girls.) I can't go down (my favorite thing in the whole world) on a shaved pussy. Makes me shudder at the sight of it. Why?

I'm definitely with fastswitch on this one... I don't think I'd go too far with a guy who shaved... but if you really want to for yourself, not for any other reason, be careful and definitely use shaving cream or something... if you have an electric razor, trim first and it'll be easier.

I'm not big on guys who shave, and I never remember a time when I didn't shave go figure.

The first time I shaved, I was about 9 - 10 years old, when I had entered puberty early. Obviously noe of my peers had hair there, and I didn't want to appear a freak.

Once some of my friends started to bush out I let mine grow too, but never felt comfortable with it.

Then, one day, when I was about 19, I was rushed into hospital with appendicitis & as it happened, the male nurse who had to shave me for pre-op was an old class mate of mine. Despite feeling embarrassed at having been shaved, I felt quite relieved, and far more comfortable.

Even so, I allowed it to grow for some years, until I noticed that the grey hairs that were, by now, totally dominant on my head, were also becoming dominant throughout my pubes. This was something I couldn't stand so, once again, off they came & have remained that way ever since.

However, I do follow a small tradition to remind me of the reason I keep myself shaved, whereby on Valentine's Day I shave them, and then let them grow for exactly 6 weeks (by which time they have all but fully returned), and then, on my birthday, shave them off again.

As well as my preferring my pubic region to be totally smooth, I have found that all the sexual partners I have been with, both male & female, have preferred it that way. Many of whom were shaved themselves, and some have even been inspired to follow suit.

Also, not only does it feel far more comfortable on a general day to day basis, but when it comes to having sex, the sensation of contact with smooth skin is far superior to that of rubbing your most sensitive areas against some wire wool - to say nothing of the other obvious benefit o not ending up with hairs in your mouth after Oral Sex.

Haha, I can relate, man. I try to catch the hair early and shave it off and not give it a chance to grow out. One time I did and I swear I must've spent at least close to an hour trying to shave every bit of it off.

Hell, I'm about to go ahead and shave now.
