I just moved to Portland and I make hip hop beats. Does anybody know if there's much of a scene going on around here?
Hello hello. I live to the south of you but frequently visit portland. One amazing city I must say. There's just about everything for everyone. A don of diversity and lifestyles packed into tight quarters. A lot of people call it the little Seattle or San Fran. I'm not incredibly knowledgeable on the hip hop scene for beat makers, but I'm almost sure you could find a little something with some time on the net. I know raves and dance parties are happening all the time. If you mix it, they will come With people my age, there are some decent raves, although that's more of a house/electronica/dub step scene. That wasn't a very helpful answer, but more a reassurance that you can find something!
