Survey... what are you going for - Academic/Advanced or General diploma? I'm currently... I'm currently in Honors Bio and such so I'm a grade ahead in sciences... I don't really get that part sometimes.. wondering if I really need that. I'm not going to Cambridge or Harvard.
Bio 30 (grade 12 Bio in alberta) is the easyest fucking class ever.... I'm in a Acedemic though i am atking an AP english course, but i dont know if i will take the AP test...
you know, i was supposed to get into high school with all honors and i signed up for all honors except in math, and i was only in biology honors..
my school only offered honours for math... and there were TONS of options in that... we had the normal courses with honours, and then calculus, with honours... I tried to get some artsy-fartsy crap in honours, but it turns out nobody in highschool gives a shit about anything. I know, it was shocking # of times i said 'honours' = 4... well, 5 now... see, I'm a math-super star!
Lol... I've come to find that if I want an education, I'd rather take it into my own hands. I can't trust other people to "teach". You teach it to yourself to begin with. I've already done almost two lessons this morning and it's only been two and a half hours... and I've taken brakes to sort papers and come on here, listen to music... etc... I like this. Works for me... the only problem right now is that they're building an office complex behind my house and all I can hear is nail guns, screaming, and hammers on and off all day. there is a cafe and a radio station and some other stuff behind my house. they're all quiet. I'll be so happy when they finish building those offices.
Well... I'm still doing it anyway. Just because it's such a pain in the ass to suck up to the superintendent and I'm not going to do that because he's not worth it... Much easier to follow a pre-approved course. If JMHS doesn't do their job, I'm going to keystone.... or any of the other ones on my six pages of listings...
I suggest going to Keystone right now...their payment plan really sucks, which is why I'm not going through it, but that place looks like its really good.
i think keystone is a bitch personally, then again i dont know if any other school system would be much better... but i did my first 'creative writing' lesson/paper to sordove get a feel for how it works... and it was returned because i submitted it incorrectly, i thought it was kindof ironic needing proper strucutre and format for a creative writing assignment, english teachers, who needs 'em?... and of course it took over a month for them to tell me this, i can tell this is going to be a shitty process... oh and i would get the higher diploma, couldnt hurt...
Yeah... I'm doing advanced/academic... just so I have more to do... because I can tell I'm going to do about a lesson or two a day. So I'm probably going to be keeping those bastards on their toes... oh well... I'm paying. If they can't do their job, I'll let Keystone have the money.... I've got pages of listings. Keystone and James Madison are multi-acredited.
