Two years ago I had an experience with DOB (and nitrous) that was so profound and intense...I won't get too far into it, but I experienced a parallel dimension with different physical laws than our own and a society to whom I was alien - they put me on trial and i had intense visions of my human birth and childhood, they snickered at me in a droning low tone and repeated the same words over and over again. At the time I feel like I knew what the words meant, and they were significant. I remember some of them and can hear them in my head but I can't really vocalize them. Anyway...everything about them was sarcastic, and they pressured me to make a decision but I didn't know what the decision was about. The trip was just so dense, my reality was totally blown away for what felt like eternity. My memories of the experience were basically pieced together in the days and weeks following. SO...I had smoked Salvia a handful of times before that all happened and had what I would say are "normal" results. I never really liked it, but I like tripping out so... About a month after the DOB, I smoked some low extract with some friends. Right after I blew out the second hit, I heard those words coming back and I knew what they meant. I was rushed right back in to that alternate reality in full force, like I had never left. Upon coming down I once again forgot the significance of what these entities were saying to me and the environment I was experiencing. I have done salvia three more times between then and now and each time the same type of shit happens but I always gain a better understanding that is actually helping me take something meaningful out of the intense recurring trip. SO...I have my iced bong packed with two good pinches of 20x over some blackened herb and I'm about to rip it and hold one good hit until its gone. Wish me luck.
I know what you mean. I haven't had that extreme of an experience, but as you were explaining the original trip I was easily seeing the salvia-like themes, at least compared to what I've been through on it. The snickering, putting you through trials and visions of childhood (I always see my dad, who's perfectly alive and well in real life but just seemingly always present in my salvia trips, not in a bad way just watching) I've definitely experienced on various levels, not sure how common it is but I've been there. Good luck, keep chasing whatever it is you're after and you'll eventually learn more.
Same thing with my old man - I'd neither call my self distant nor close to him in normal life, but he (or his image) is present more often than not when I'm really tripping hard, especially with Aya' and L. Its kind of like he isn't him though, like entities I am seeing have taken on his appearance or I am experiencing him on a different plain of existence than our own because I'm trippin' balls. But like I was saying every time I feel like I get hints into understanding what the fuck its all about/for. When I am on salvia I still get a strong feeling of a maternal presence (like my own mom), but I've heard a lot of people talk about that.
Strange, your DOB experience sounds exactly like salvia experiences. The first para is about DOB right?
The nitrous will have taken it to that level, you'd need to take a massive OD to get anything like that from DOB alone. I find nitrous on psychedelics is quite salvia-esque, which isn't surprising as they're both dissociatives. I'm still a strong believer that flashbacks are bullshit, I've never had one nor has anyone I know. It sounds to me more like you had another strong psychedelic/dissociative experience and you were taken back to a similar place in your mind to before.
I get more of a physical experience than a mind one with Salvia. I feel so different form my normal s elf that I don't tend to get personal stuff mixed in which is one of the things I like so much about it! Hmm... Did he develop HPPD after heavy drug use? I'm not denying your friend's experiences but I'll believe it when I see it.
