So I'm movin' to Fair Lawn, New Jersey in a week on short notice for a permanent job. I have a very very very great doctor in South FL, (hehehe) but he's not gonna be reachable every 28 days at that distance. My problem is also that I'm 26, but look like I'm fuckin' 16. And though I've been in pain mgmt since like '03, when a doc sees that I've only been seeing the same doc in South FL (Roxy capital of the US) since I'm 20 he won't give me much credibility. I shattered both my heels rockclimbing, and have extensive records to prove it... yet the last time I tried a diff. pain specialist to try and save an 800 mile drive to my good doctor, he offered me fucking Tramadol..."Son, you've been taking enough roxicodone for 10 people, I'm gonna switch you to Tramadol." I left his office as those words left his mouth...I can't afford for this shit to happen in NJ too, someone please advise I've got about 2 weeks worth of 3's left and then I'll be in bad pain and sick for the first time since uhhh, well just about never. my current regiment is 240 3's, 90 15's, 60 poles... lol what's that in street value I don't even know, like 10 g's or some dumb shit?
Yeah good luck on that one I live in deerfield boca area, and I think you hit it right on the head with the credibility thing, have u tried asking your present doc for a referral to a pain clinic up there? I went to delaware with a broken leg went to the hospital and tried to get 30's they laughed and wrote me a script for 5's which i changed to 15's hahaha
Sorry guys, I'm so used to using slang terms with my meds I thought everybody spoke it....well most people do, actually.. 3's are Roxicodone 30's, poles are 2mg xanax bars...and as for the 60 dicks comment, you'd probably blow 60 of em for halfa perc 5...u know what a perc is?? lol I'm not even tryin' to hear ignorant shit like that from u or anybody. If you don't know, ask it's cool. Making comments like that just make you look like a jerkoff, I'm sorry but it's true. Do your homework, I've lived in over 15 states in my life and have yet to meet someone who does meds and doesn't know what totem poles are.. Anyways, I got it covered for now since nobody could come up with a good NJ clinic. My doc even said he didn't know of any there who would continue the regiment I'm on now. Ohio is where it's gonna be at soon enough, mark my words...that's close enough to Jersey for me. Hey "IRIE", thanx for not being a "dick" like what's his face, I'm actually in Boca right now!! I decided fuck it I need to go one more time before I get stuck up in Jersey. Went to "American" today so I'm WAY good for now... Except for one prob., can't get my script filled. (Rox 30's, 15's, and 2mg alprazolam bars...lol) I got there at the end of the day so the pharm was already closed, and I couldn't find one by 6.. do you know anybody who can fill em on a saturday?? I'm not allowed to fill em at walgreens or cvs, or outside of FL and walmart, publix, winn dixie, medicine shoppe, nobody has em. If you or anybody else can tell me a good place so I'm not stuck here til monday, I'll make it worth the info if you're local. Please get back to me asap! thanx

Cant believe there is someone out there who gets rx'd more than me lol....my current meds are 180 30$ 60 60mg OPs from my foot and leg dr and 120 10$ and 90 15mg opanas from my back dr. And i thought i was young at 31...id be killing it in florida lol....dunno much about pain dr in nj im in maryland though might be worth the drive......
I know this is an older thread but thought I would try anyway. Posted this before but am getting a little desperate. I finally got 30 Vic's yesterday but they are a last resort. I broke my neck 20 years ago and it always hurts like a btch. My family doc had me on 60 Perk 5/500 and 10/325 sometimes. He two weeks ago told me that his practice would no longer write those for anyone. He cold Turkeyed me onto 120 Tramadols. Those are terrible and give me a terrible hangover/groggy feeling the next day. So I tried a new doc and he looked at me like I was a crackhead without doing any tests and said the Trams were fine. I guess I will look to the streets. I'm in Charlotte,NC any ideas would be appriciated. Thanks!
Man, that sucks. He took you from Oxycodone down to Tramadol. That's too big of a drop to avoid withdrawals. Even 5mg Percs. Doctors these days are scared to death to write scripts for narcotics. You almost have to walk in carrying your own leg to get any decent pain relief. I don't know how they evaluate patients. I guess it's partly your medical condition, and partly the way you look, I guess. I must look like a real dweeb, because I've been on Hydrocodone for 9 years, lol. That was mainly a joke, by the way, although appearance can have an effect on it. That's just the way it is. Anyway, I hear that Florida is the place to go. There has been a lot of media attention on that, though, so I'm guessing Florida will be getting tough on it.
Ya Florida is nothing to what it used to be in terms of getting narcotics prescribed. You used to be able to go down there looking like a bag of shit and get prescribed A LOT. I have a few friends that WERE running up and down the east coast making runs and what not. FL is still a hot bed for tht kind of thing but everything has died down significantly from what it WAS.
You are coming into a different world. Nothing like what you were used to in FL. Dam near impossible for legit pain management folks to get meds. If you do find someone be very careful. can't even get filled a day or two early. You have to wait exactly 30 days even if you have Dr ok to take an extra one now and then for days when pain is worse than usual.
I'm stuck in there's no stronger meds than what I'm on been in pain management for11 years and my doses are the highest I ever heard of And I'm still in pain. I take 4 100mcg patches every other day that's 60 100mcg patches a month I take 9 1600mcg. Of actiq a day that's 270 lozengers a month I take 30mg of cyclobenzaprine a day I take 60mg cymbalta a day I take 3mg of klonopin a day I take 2400mg of neurontin a day I take 300mg of trazadone a day I take 200mg of seroquil a day Before they out me on lozengers I was 120mg of oxycodone 30mgs every 2 hours it was like taking baby aspirin Now I'm stuck they won't raise my dosages because there already extremely high and I'm still in pain Pain is horrible I wish it on nobody
