I found this interesting regarding Magdeline as the "beloved disciple" in the Gospel. http://ramon_k_jusino.tripod.com/magdalene.html
1. I don't, I was just fuckin with you. 2. I don't celebrate my own birthday but I know when the fuck it is. 3. So this simple plain looking man didn't want to be worshiped yet there's an entire religion dedicated to him?
In imitation of your "God" no doubt. And no doubt Jesus also knew when he was born and did not celebrate it nor did he want others to celebrate it either and that is why it wasn't written down. You think you know so much about Christianity but True Christianity is not about worshiping Jesus but about worshiping his father, God.
Where in the fuck do I say God is limited? I didn't say God isn't capable of Noah's ark, I said a human isn't. I didn't say God isn't capable of walking on water, I said a human isn't. And anything else you can think of. God is eternal, it's not possible for God to be limited.
What did you get your degree in basket weaving? "I didn't say God isn't capable of Noah's ark, I said a human isn't. I didn't say God isn't capable of walking on water, I said a human isn't." Both of these imply that God is limited in his ability to have humans do these things if he so wants to.
you put your right, you pull your left hand out .. you do the hooky pookey and turn yourself around,. thats what its all about in the name of Allah, most gracious, ever merciful" ... "Fitra" and remembrance of God. In this same spirit, the Qur’an mentions that, “Jesus, son of Mary, said: ‘O Allah, Lord of us! Send down for us a table spread with food from heaven, that it may be a feast (eid) for us, for the first of us and for the last of us and a sign from You. Give us sustenance, for You are the Best of Sustainers.’” (Qur’an, 5: 114) The time for giving Fitr is from the night of Eid al-Fitr (Ramadan Eid) up to the ... "Say: He is God the Only; God the Indivisible; He gives not birth, nor is He begotten, and He is, in Himself, not dependent on anything" (Sura 112:1-4) "Thy Lord is the Absolute, the Lord of Mercy. If He will, He can remove you and can cause what He will to follow after you, even as He raised you from the seed of other folk." (Sura 6:133).. :hat:..
I dont really think thats what the hooky pokey is about... im making funny.. the girls paint their hands http://www.answers.com/topic/mehndi cause its the end of ramadan.. but I figured you knew that. if Jesus was still around he'd probably show off and make some wine for the feast...
No they don't They imply that I don't believe something that makes absolutely no sense. Human beings can't walk on water. And the situation involving Noah's Ark was a little too serious for God to sit around waiting 100 years for a human being to build an ark. LMAO the bible implies that God needs humans, but I'm the one that says God's power is limited?
LOL did you just compare me to Jesus Christ? My mother was a virgin when she got pregnant with me too. And I was raised by a woman named Mary. My initials were even gonna be JC until my father demanded I be named after him at the last minute. He was a lot nicer than me tho, I don't like dudes following me around. Those disciples would've pissed me the fuck off.
1. You better be, 2. Good for you. I'm sure Jesus knew when his birthday was too. But we weren't intended to celebrate it so it's not written. End of story. 3. I don't worship Jesus. I worship God.
They weren't the brightest of the bunch either. Mark 8:1-10 Jesus multiplies a few loaves and fish to feed a few thousand. Mark 8:13-21 The disciples only bring one loaf for a trip and worry about not having enough food. Jesus asks "How do you not yet understand?". If I were him, I'd have picked a new bunch of guys.
So now what God can do makes no sense? You think God can't arrange it so human beings can walk on water and that's not limiting God? So you think God should have just destroyed mankind with out any warning or any time for mankind to change sides. Personally, I think God might be a little more loving than that. Where does the Bible "imply" God needs humans? God allows humans to help in the working out of his purposes but that is out of love, not need.
I don't think God isn't capable of lending that power to humans, I just don't see human beings as being important enough for God to lend that power to. I ain't saying God can't do anything, I'm saying I have no reason to believe these human beings did what the bible said they did. And Honey, so you mean to tell me this man had wise men coming from the other side of the country to watch him be born yet the day it happened wasn't important enough to be remembered? Oh ok
Just because you don't think so, doesn't mean he didn't. Just because you don't understand why these things happened, doesn't mean they didn't No where in the Bible does it say these "wise men" were invited, in fact the Bible seems to indicate that they showed up about 2 years after his birth and had to ask a King, that later tried to kill Jesus, how to find him.
The same way me not thinking a certain way doesn't change what really happened, you believing it happened doesn't make it Truth either. Difference between us is you put your faith in the bible, I put my faith in Truth. You don't have to disregard Truth to have a relationship with God, if anything you accomplish the total opposite. I never once said God isn't capable of anything. I'm talking about the bible, a book that was written by human beings. I don't recognize any correlation between God and the bible, so I'm not doubting God when I doubt the stories in it.
