so i am going to see a pain doc finally tomorrow. up to this point i have been prescribed, ultram, vicodin, norco, percocet 5 and 10, and now am hoping to get something stronger. I want to get oxycontin. is there a goood chance he will give it to me? should i let him know that the percocets work well, but i need to take 3 or 4 just to get the pain relief. and should i say that i dont like all the tylenol in the percs or something? im hoping for some 20's or 40's? what do yall think? also, i am in the la/orange county area. if things with this doc doesnt work out does anyone know any other good docs in my area? shoot me an email: makeitmac22@hushmail.com
i was born with bilateral club feet and had surgeries on both feet to correct them. my feeet and ankles hurt very easily. if i am on my feeet fo an hour, they hurt.and at my job i sm sometimes on my feet for up to 5 or 6 hours at a time. By the time i get home my feet are burning sore, i have sharp pain in my ankles, and cant fall asleep. i usually end up getting up in the middle of the night to take some type of medicicne to get to sleep. i have lived with this type of pain for my entire life, but tylenol, ibuprofen, and advilhas always done the job for me as a kid. now they dont do the job anymore. and neither does ultram or hydro or the 10mg percs. so hopefully tomorrow i am going to see the pain doc for the first time and i will get some oxys. think i have a good chance for em?
Ya what is wrong with you that you need opiates, and do you have mri's, cat scans, or any x-rays plus documention for your chronic condition. Let us know and we can help you out
First off be honest with him and tell him what has worked for you. also tell him that you hate having to take some many pills during the day, this will help you out with possibly getting something long acting like morphine or oxy extended release. and let him know you are open to options that could help with the pain, That way he thinks you are up to different things other than just trying to get drugs. Ya he might give you some 10mg oxys for pain at night. they will always start you at low doses, so don't expect to be getting 3 40mg oxys a day or some shit.
yeah you being 21 and all, i think its gonna take alot more to get him to prescribe you oxys. though maybe hell throw you some 10mg contins and some dilaudid or something of the like for breakthrough pain. or maybe mscontin with percs for b/t pain, ORRRRR MAYBE FENTANYL PATCHES with diacetyl morphine for breakthrough pain!!! hey we can all wish right
