It's been a couple weeks since the election and I'm still really upset that Bush won. I was hoping that the American people would stand up against Bush and make a difference, but I was wrong. Half of the people in this country are unquestioningly consuming the lies that the government is feeding them, and they are too wrapped up in their own lives to discover the truth. I hate to use the word "ignorance" because it offends people, but I believe that is the problem. They don't know any better. I just wanted to say that it's up to the youth to make a difference, because everyone else it too set in their ways already. Young hippies have to stay together and support each other in their beliefs. We can't let the world bring us down, we have to try and make it better. I just want to say that Bush is not my president. He in no way represents me, yet he is going to have a huge impact on my life and the rest of the world. He is already restricting my liberties with the Patriot Act and the way he is destroying the environment, and I am in fear of what is to come.
Since the election I really haven't given a shit about anything political whatsoever...whats the point? Besides, theres much more important things to worry about, like living and enjoying your life.
If you dodge the draft they hunt you down and put you in jail. You can't even go to Canada anymore- they have extradite laws and they'll turn you over. The only good option is Amsterdam
Fuck that I'm not getting drafted, nor am I going to jail. But if I had to choose, I'd rather go to jail than die. I will probably make my way to Asia somehow, and from there get to India...Japan would be doable, but they are very close with the U.S.
