Like Halloween's coming early or something... Anyone else feel that? Something feels really unsettled everywhere I go lately. Maybe I'm just nuts. :toetap05:
Just feels like autumn coming, to me. Autumn coming always feels a tad spooky. The sun is lower in the sky, days are shorter, and there's a tinge of nippiness in the air. If I look deeper, I think there's something instinctual behind this feeling - kind of like my body is telling me, "It's later than you think - do you have food and firewood stocked for the winter?"
yes the nuts are falling... I work as a gardener and being outside deffinetly amplifies some feelings of the seasons. Embrace! unsettled, perhaps something is unsettled in your life and its amplified by the change of the seasons, hows the moon working for you? its waning right now...
I get that feeling every year right before autumn equinox. Darker days, falling leaves... It has a bit of a creepy energy to it.
it's corn picking time here in iowa . i tried selling some fancy ears at the farmer's market . weirdly nobody wanted it . so then i ground up some corn flour . the next week an ancient old man took one jar home but no beautiful black-beans . strange about the beans . fresh warm cornbread and steamy black-beans is so fine . and so is new apple sauce . but when i'd gone to get those apples i got in trouble with the sheriff because of some spooky confusion between the owner and the renter tho neither one wanted those big sweet apples and they was justa going to rot where they would fall .
That's a good way to describe it. http://www.care2.com/greenliving/celebrate-the-autumn-equinox.html http://www.care2.com/greenliving/natural-indian-corn-necklaces.html ^There's something you can do with that corn, tikoo.
My guess its seasonal affective disorder (SAD) Personally I embrace the shorter days and the cooler nights; and look forward to the autumnal changes which include the annual fall fairs, pumpkins, and spectacular fall foliage Hotwater
what's nuts is amerika and the fall of its illusions ! so , sensibly , we speak of getting earthy . i have loved every every autumn .
You know, I do get that. Good call. Fall is my absolute favorite! It's one of the reasons my fiance and I are getting married in the fall (also because we started dating in October). Lovely all the colors and the harvest... apples and pumpkins and gourds (I'm a compulsive pumpkin buyer ). It's sad what it leads to, though. How I hate winter.
Winter. Yes...bitter cold and snow shoveling are a pain...but no allergies, no bugs - no lawn mowing! And autumn is an interesting season. The feeling of sliding into the darkness is interesting and intriguing.
I'll take a livelier feeling any day, bugs and allergies be damned, lol. That's most of the problem. Everything seems so dead. If I think of it as sleeping, then I'm jealous, because I want to be sleeping too!
and then your just absolutely inside with a cat and a candle then the queen of winter stops by and she's so young and flowing
Northern Yankee lament when the leaves are changing color: Damn New Yahkuhs, cummin up heah ta look at the TREES...
yeah, i feel it to, every fall, i like it though. can't wait for halloween, love the coolness and how its not as bright, kinda into the whole "creepy" feel. fall is my favorite.
