Ha you will find some curve balls in my list like Sigur Ros and Enya. Opeth, Killswitch and The Prodigy are all fantastic live! I don't particularly like Killswitch.. but nevertheless it was enjoyable! The Hovefestival looks fairly decent. I've seen All that Remains and Disturbed live! Wasn''t to bad at all. Shall be seeing Faith No More next year at our soundwave festival. www.soundwavefestival.com
Well of course, if you bind yourself to only one genre you will miss a lot of good music All That Remains featured my first crowd surfing experience, and it was EPIC! If you overlook the fact that I lost my cellphone while surfing, that is. I was crawling around on the ground for 15 minutes. First I found the battery, then the phone itself and then the cover for the battery - the pieces were all like 5 meters apart, but when I put them together they actually worked!
fantastic! I once found 20 dollars on the ground at Opeth's concert... was the happiest day of my life
Oh, the envy! I once caught Matt Nicholls' (BMTH) drum stick after a show. Well, I and 5 other guys caught it simultaneously. It resulted in a ten minute struggle, and in the end there was just me and this insane steroid pumped hulk-like guy. I was hanging on to the stick while laying on the ground, and he litterally lifted me up by the drumstick and tried shaking me off, must have looked hillarious! In the end a couple of people who figured it was more fair if I got it, came along and helped push the hulk away. Then I proceeded giving it to my girlfriend who was a big fan.
I was trampled at a killswitch concert after being in a 300+ pound black man's sweaty armpit for about 2 opening bands. good times. dragonforce was there too.. they were almost booed off the stage, but I liked them a lot at the time. very nerdy music After their set, I ran into Herman Li, the lead guitar for dragonforce, and he was completely shitfaced and gave me a hug
I had an image of them throwing the cymbal like a frisbee into the crowd. That would be dangerous as a mofo
Hello, been lurking for a while and thought I'd bite the bullet and join up (incase I ever have anything to add to the conversation). Been doing the dreads for 11 or so months, no wax, just crocheted to start them off and now nothing but being kept clean. Names not important for anyone to know, KaKy will do fine. Not sure what brings me here, but I liked it when I found it and decided to hang around.
Not boy (or man).... Probably should have mentioned that in my 1st post, ah well, can't be helped now
ha so I just realised after watching your yoyo skills. Nevertheless... this subforum now has quite a few 'Adelaidians' how corny of me
Ahoy … I’ve thrown a few posts around, but never thought of posting something here … duhh, and I guess I wouldn’t have thought about it unless insanodano and Spacebase mentioned the ‘pics’ thing … anyway better late than never. I’m really terrible at taking pics of myself, can never get the lighting or the angle right … Man, I’m not sure how good these will come out on this post … oh well, give me a blasting if they are really bad. Interests: H.I.M. La Via Campesina / Campaign for Food Sovereignty Drumming Protest Culture ... particularly Direct Action ... specifically Anarchist / Autonomist
Ahoy … Thanks Sister. This is the third load of locks that I have had … first was neglect, second the washing method that I go on about … and this new lot was the washing method and as soon as the hair sectioned itself I jumped in and rub / rolled a bit to increase the matting process and worked in the remaining loose hairs, mostly with a needle / needle threader and … ouch … once or twice with a crochet hook … so I’m a bit nervous about how this interventionist approach that I’ve taken will turn out. But I’m washing every 4 days or so, week after week, and so far so good. I’ve lost quite a bit of length … but that happened before, so it’s normal and from what I’ve read it generally happens no matter what approach is taken
Ahoy ... and you know ... I'm really not big on pics. Go figure, I have a few of the previous load but they are in a box in a garage roof back home. I have two of the first load ... I think in the same box, but they were tied up because I was at a graduation. This present lot, which would like to become a load (hahaha) are really new ... I started to grow my hair last year and begun with the washing method half way through the year … jeez, I don’t even have any pics of that either. Then I stepped in just over two months ago and started urging them on with a bit of the interventionist approach that I mentioned. But I did let the hair section itself ... so no backcombing etc.
Welcom Kaky Nice pics Don! You look different than I would have imagined in your posts... not sure how though. =) You're a cutie!
Oh, how I dream of seeing volta live! So, I've been lurking for awhile and finally decided to start posting. I did the whole corporate backcomb-wax-palmroll-look in mirror-puke routine about six months ago, but then after following this wise communities advice, did two deep cleanses and have neglected ever since. I am now quite happy with em. I'll post some pics when I get ahold of a photo capturing device. I guess I could say I'm still in school, stickinittodaman as much as possible, without being thrown out, and hope to make my way to beautiful Nelson, BC after gradding early and treeplantin it up. Yay!
