From wiki : "LSD," writes the chemist Alexander Shulgin, "is an unusually fragile molecule."[5] It is stable for indefinite time if stored, as a solid salt or dissolved in water, at low temperature and protected from air and light exposure. "

lol, oh man, i'm high. I don't think it will ever be like it was in the 60's. But I don't think acid will ever go away. We want it to be underground so it doesn't draw too much attention. LSD has done lots of good for this world already, and will continue to I believe. I might not be typing on this Apple computer if it were not for L.

lmao thanks for letting me know about the state of conciousness thats going on....But did hoffman ever think about what was going to happen after he first discovered the incredible substance?, anything is possible right now i feel....I want it to be as open in the world as possible, i feel that so many good things can occur, fuck a computer man(although the apple computer is a very awesome peice of machinary), iam talking about solving earth problems and shit like the ice caps.( dont ask me why i mentioned it lol).

I do not want to sound like iam trying to start some revolution or anyhting because i know its not gonna happen, but iam just saying is it possible for it to gain as much..i dont want to say popularity, but maybe notority as it once had?..Almost all drugs have their hay day every once in a while, but what happens once it goes underground, can it every come back on top?

I just want awareness to occur for all.

i see the war on drugs as a obstacle that the govt threw at the hips too see how we would react...Like rats in a maze, and at the end instead of a peice of shitty cheese for the rat its drug freedom.

It doesn't need saved. The people who want LSD can get it. The benefits of LSD can only be truly observed after experience with it. Although there is a lot of information for people who want lead in the right direction.

The others dont want to know.

i dont think lsd has the potential to be very popular right now. its a sign of our times more than anything. people dont want their minds pushed beyond their comfort zones. there's alot of fear and apathy and contentment within the mainstream culture of our generation. ...and anger

if you told the masses that standing up to change the channel on their television instead of using their remotes would save the fate of the world....alot of people'd still use their remotes.

well...maybe not, things have been looking up the last few years, but somtimes i cant tell if its just where i live or if its the entire american culture thats becoming more concious.

Comparing the popularity of LSD now to how it was in the sixties is not a valid comparison. LSD was legal until 1966, so there was a lot of pharmaceutical (Sandoz) LSD around. The precursors were not controlled so it was also a lot easier for underground chemists to get. Also the social climate was drastically different, Cold War, Civil Rights, Vietnam. LSD did not start the "hippie" movement, those other societal factors did, LSD just enabled a lot of people who otherwise may not have gotten involved otherwise.

Today's societal climate is not as conducive to the open call for change, thanks Ronny, George, and Georgie Jr.
Factor in the unavailability of precursor chemicals and the legal status of LSD and there you have it.
But there is hope because there are a few groups that have managed to get the green light to revisit research with LSD and other psychedelics for study. It has taken a few decades to get to the point where these substances are once again considered as being possibly therapeutic. :cheers2:
Who knows what the next 20 years will bring in this area, but I think it is starting to look promising.
