If someone made a movie about your life what song would you choose for it? Heres mine, Enigma - The return to innocence, this moves me everytime
Oceanlab - Clear blue water (Ferry Corston mix) No relevance it's just a beautiful song If it had to be relevant it'd have to be the feeling - fill my little world
Morrissey is definately my musical biographer. I've always thought "Nobody Loves Us" was my theme song.
Equally, a HUGE Morrissey Fan 'Sister, I'm A Poet' is the song for me. Easily. Love his music, and love him
All over this town Yes, a low wind may blow And I can see through everybody's clothes With no reason To hide these words, I feel And no reason To talk about the books I read But still, I do What a coincidence, that's my queer sister's favorite Morrissey song. No one speaks as eloquently to the experience of the thoughtful gay outsider youth as Moz. "Nobody Loves Us" weaves it all together for me like no other of his songs, as a whole. The gay outsider, with a sarcastic wit of paradoxically self-aggrandizing self-deprication, and a melodramatic sense of profoundly emotional apathy and optimistic pessimism. So we tend to please ourselves. Nine times fined Never mind Things can only improve We are just stood here Waiting for the next great wound And we just can't wait to make more mistakes And to fluff our breaks, and to stuff our faces with cake All in all, imagine this: Nobody loves us Dab-hands at Trouble With four days of stubble, we are Never loosen the grip on our hand Call us home Kiss our cheeks Nobody loves us So we ... oh ... we tend to please ourselves People think all we do Is lie around and think of how Rich we'd be if we didn't think Life could improve And we just can't wait to make more mistakes And we just can't wait till the whole thing blows up in our face Call us home Kiss our cheeks Nobody loves us Dab-hands at Trouble With four days of stubble, we are So, never loosen the grip on our hand Call us home Make our tea Nobody loves us So we ... oh ... we tend to please ourselves Call us home Tuck us in Nobody wants us Dreamers and schemers All pie-eyed, and bog-eyed, and cross-eyed Oh, never loosen the grip on our hand Whack us, then Hug us hard Nobody loves us So we ... oh ... we tend to please ourselves And we just can't stress, oh, how more the mess And complete distress won't make much difference to us Sing us our Favourite song Nobody loves us Born-again athiests Practising troublemakers Make us our Favourite jam Nobody loves us Useless and shiftless And jobless But we're all yours
Revolution Action - Atari Teenage Riot Not so much for the lyrics or message, but some song that feels like 100 bees buzzing around inside your head all the time
Anybody ever heard of a biopic that had a "theme song" that wasn't chosen for its lyrical relevance to the subject's life? Sheesh, we're trying to learn about each other here.
Its so hard to come up with one single song to list my short 23 years on this planet. There are a few that come to mind though such as bands I grew up with and listend to at certain parts of my life. I do notice it has alot to do with mindless self indulgence and other punk bands so maybe I just live a in your face kind of life I suppose.
