wow apologies

Yea so I made what is apparently an abhorent mistake here in "hippyland" I dared to ask a question.... wax or not? I got nothing but mean-like responses. I just want to apologize for not being the hippyland version of a hippy who just sits at my computer, reading every thread on dreadlocks ever written. So i was unaware that this thread has been posted before sorry for irritating people with my ignorance. I by the way have seen some waxed dreads that look fine. next time I will turn to a fellow human being not behind a computer screen. ha ha peace
p.s. this is not a diss on the forum, just people who have failed to recognize the beauty of tact where it is needed

thats nothing...when i joined i was reading some thread about dreads and casually posted a question asking if any of the people in the thread had asked an actual rasta from jamaica about dreads....the result was that i got shit on by some dreadies and even called an 'epic douchebag' which i now have under my avatar....live and learn..

I think the thing is...if you are a regular here...then the wax question is done to death.
Perhaps because you have spent virtually no time here it seems...even though you registerd nearly 4 years ago...it might be helpful to atleast do a cursory look around for wax related threads...
People in your other thread seemed ok...not hateful or anything.
Perhaps you are more miffed because it was closed.

 

I would think that someone would understand.. that when on a forum.. some questions get asked alllllllllllll of the time. The regulars of the forum MAY get a lil annoyed by people asking the exact same question over and over again. No one was asking you to read the entire forum but I bet you don't have to go back much more than a page or two to see the title "wax" in a thread.

Though this is called 'the hip forums' not everyone here holds hands. There are differences even with the like minded and that is part of being 'you' ..being and individual person. Even "hippies" and people with dreadlocks get annoyed from time to time.

Believe me.. people weren't being mean. I've seen much worse. Just sit back and enjoy this place. It can be quite humorous at times if you don't take it so seriously:cheers2:

did you even read the thread called "read this first" or the "FAQ"?

 

its an internet forum, who cares if a thread was made more than once. There are several years worth of them to sort through, so I could easily see how someone could miss them. Besides that this forum is supposed to be helpful, so asking a question shouldn't be a big deal.

 

Protip; Apologizing on an Internet forum never makes anything better, it only reminds people of what you've done. The best thing to do is apologize in the thread where you get flamed.

The whole 'we get this asked all the time' is just a bullshit rationalization to be a E-dick.
Nobody is obliged to answer any wax thread but they sure do whinge about them and still post in them.

 

There should be a locked thread under the FAQ that says dont use wax, and the reasons why. I am fairly new and yes i made the mistake of using wax for a couple weeks, but shit there are way to many threads about it. As Addicted to C mentioned, you would have only needed to go about a page or two back to see a wax thread. Oh and i am not hippie i found this Forum on google and stayed around because people on here are awesome, and you get really great advice, as long as its a questions that hasn't been asked a million times...
