No I am not going to help you gather data. I'd be more interestesd in how Bush/Cheney promoted illegal immigration. Perhpas you can tell us why Bush/Cheney developed the SPP?

Obama Sets Date For Immigration Reform

    Tuesday August 11, 2009
Immigration reform remains one of President Obama's priorities, but it will continue to take a back seat to health care reform, energy and the economy. "It's very important for us to sequence these big initiatives in a way where they don't all just crash at the same time," the President said during a press conference on Monday at the North American Leaders Summit.
President Obama was joined by President Felipe Calderon of Mexico and Prime Minister Stephen Harper of Canada during the two-day trilateral meeting. Read the leaders' commentary on immigration reform and border security.
But all is not lost. President Obama remains committed to immigration reform. He pointed out that work on the issue has already started and he expects to have draft legislation before the end of the year, which would allow reform to move ahead in early 2010.

Illegal immigration only benefits the wealthy and big businesses. It seems Obama+Co. have the same position as Bush+Co.--NOT good.

Actually Obama want's to enforce an executive order put in place by Bush. One that would force employers to confirm imigratation status before employment through a government website. Employers are fighting it, I think they should have been abiding by it ever since Amensty was passed under Clinton and I9s had to be fiilled out. As for the increased costs to employers I'd like to see those costs clearly outlined. I don't think many employers receiving federal funds don't have access to computers, and filling out an I9 on line takes about as much time as doing it on paper offline, so I fail to see the question of increased costs to employers. Even if there are some aren't those just the costs of doing business? Especially when you are doing business with Government?

Employers don't like paying payroll taxes and insurance on their employees.

Perhaps that is the real cost that has these companies in a tither, they would rather hire the illegal immigrant and pay in cash.

That's why I don't think payroll taxes should exist.
