The prison is everything around us that isn't natural? Can you explain that? I mean, you're on the internet, you choose to live in civilisation, why don't you retire to some backwater island and pick fruit from the trees if it's so bad?
Given [what little we know] about the Geology, terrain, atmosphere of other planets -- I'd think Earth would be a vacation planet. Maybe we were sent here for good deeds and rewarded with natural beauty. But we fucked it up.
I actually thought this 2 days ago; that we were given a break from our REAL existence here on earth .... All I can say .. if this is a holiday ... I am not looking forward to finding out what the other thing is
'maybe' the other thing is meant to make you realize how lucky you are to experience life on earth. the more modern life gets, the more duped we are in forgetting our true nature, so the more aware we become as we reincarnate. the more duped we are the more we suffer, the more we suffer, the longer it takes to return, as there is much more we must learn before we understand the truth enough to come back. there is no heaven, this is it. there can only be the opposite. light versus darkness? interesting thoughts.. bless~
1.) Nothing is impossible. 2.) A prison? Or a launching pad? Natural doesn't mean simply nature. Natural is anything which promotes life, energy, creation, love. The fullest expression of the Spirit. So not natural is eating McDonalds 5x a week. Because while you are killing yourself binging on burgers if you only remembered for a half second what it felt like to have that joy and clarity of being an untainted child, you would put down that burger and strive. But what holds us back from action is the conditioning, the fear, negative emotions, and societal framework. All stemming from beings who are not pure in spirit. So what Pressed_Rat is talking about is how society makes us forget our true nature, and instead we adopt a framework which is based on some other twisted person's fantasy. And we live by it, because we simply Forgot. Running away from the presence of evil still leaves evil. But express Truth and Untruth cannot exist.
But the way that he expresses this is so full of anger that it distracts me from his main point. Chronic anger is another kind of prison that cannot be seen or touched.
Thats what I think. Something in humans nature or character is flawed and we were banished from some other world. Maybe that flaw is greed? Those that banished us wouldn't kill us off as that would be against their perfectness or their nature. Even us humans don't like the idea of a living thing going extinct.
I actually think this is a cool idea, in a science fiction movie kind of way. But the Earth is WAY too gorgeous and amazing for this to be called a prison. We got a sweet-ass deal if that's the case.
On a planetary level, we are lucky to be able to survive and build a civilization in the first place. Civilizations throughout time have come and gone. Some imprisoned their own people for the better of the WHOLE civilization. Some of us out there forget that life is precious and meant to be enjoyed. The civilization we are in now allows us to have the technology to dumb our selves down. Our numb our realization of what we as a people are turning into.
if you are looking for a cosmic/spiritual answer, i suggest you watch this video called "the Legend of Atlantis" [link coming soon]
If I understood u right...we're not meant to just have fun in our life, that doesn't mean that we shouldn't enjoy our life. I mean we're the most powerful creatures on earth and we should take care of things.(obviously that doesn't happen, ofcourse).I'm not against civilization but not the way we're living it now. we're having a great responsibility here, a burden humanity totally failed to sustain. totally right...it's like that big pattern that all people just unconsciously live along it. " Born- go to school- college - get a good job - get married and have children- maybe never leave your home city- then die" I dont know how many poeple ar econviced with that shit..
Well If it like stalag 13 and the commandant is as incompetent as colonel wilhelm klink, then get sgt’ kinchloe on the radio to london for an immediate evac Hotwater

Where do animals fit into it? They don't have all this governmental/mind control shit. They live in a much more natural way than humans. Are they imprisoned here too?
I think existence is a prsion or hell whatever you want to call it. Maybe not all of it but from my experience I've only seen hell.
Well said! It reminds me of what G'Kar said on Babylon 5 when he was himself imprisoned for attacking Ambassador Mollari: "Everything out there has but one purpose: to distract us from ourselves, from what is truly important." Americans spend way too much time virtualizing their lives. They never take time to experience anything real. Some of them can't even identify what is real anymore. We, as a species, have lost our purpose. There may have been some value to living at one point, but now, what is it? Pieces of plastic in our pockets that serve as surrogate friends? Travelling everywhere every day with the world blocked out by our iPods? Living live exclusively vicariously through people in movies and on TV? That kind of living is pointless.
