Probably cuz all those jackass kids come from westchester. Jackass/viva la bam is the best art that PA puts out. Pretty pathetic if you ask me.

I just hate the police, drivers, and speed limits there...otherwise I think its pretty, though a mysterious lack of bands seems to exist, is there some sort of barrier to creativity eminating from there?

whoa there! i'm in Central Pa, and yeah, i agree the locals don't talk to new neighbors, and they're mostly rednecks, but there's nice folks too! if i knew where in pa you were, i'd offer to visit for sure. oh yeah, and pennsylvania has the second most hardwood forests of any state (next to n.c.) Come on down and walk around in the hickories at gifford pinchot state park and say you hate PA. nowhere's that bad, really...cept maybe jersey. peace,

I am in Pittsburgh. You are the first one to post anything about actually helping me to meet people. Thanx. By the way I do like Pa. The scenery is gorgeous. The only problem I have are finding cool people to chill with. PM me and maybe we can get together or something.

c'mon now. let's all relax and just be happy the pennsylvanians here can meet each other. i think the best thing we can do is make sure we keep our neighbors updated in the events/festivals forums as to what we want to go to.
    cool,
    brad

I live in Pa. I don't really like the people, at least around where I live (little conservative town), but have any of you ever been to New Hope? It's the grooviest, hippest place ever.

new hope is great. well i've only been there a few times. at my old high school the one teacher every year took his classes to see a play and just let us walk around the town. so i've only been to the one part and i wouldn't be able to say anymore about the place. but i love visiting. maybe one of these weekends. i'll head up. it's not tooo far from my school.

It's all what you make it. If you make it suck, it will suck. If you are opptimistic, it is great. Philly cheesesteaks are the best. We are lucky enough to have Rita's Italian Ice. Sure we have some bad weather, but so does every other state. And the land is beautiful. Look at all the fall foliage right now. Go to the Pococos, they have the best fall foliage around. There are plenty of kind people you just have to look around more.
