I'm all about bettering the environment, but not like this. This type of "help" is like the rich giving to the poor instead of changing the system to make sure there are no poor.

What's important is to teach people to develop critical awareness. That way people can discover how the environment has affected them and how they affect it. Through understanding you gain control, and control empowers.

I like the idea of vertical buildings, it's actually genius. We're so conditioned to think of Wallstreet America + Skyscrapers, but there are other ways which we could use the concept. There's something about a vertical buildings that make them commanding, like an idealogical force to be reckoned with. I personally wanted to make a 20story Pigeon/Squab tower for food.....

Or maybe some woodland tower where we could snipe free-range deer.... I duno.

Haha, no way. We're not able to create a habitat for ourselves in space yet. Maybe some time, but we're probably stuck on this blue-green ball for at least a century (more likely a dozen centuries). Sorry man, I like us to be all over the galaxy too but this is just how the situation is.

well..ofcourse I'm not against scientific research and development (as that actually what differs us from other living species) BUT I don't think humans are the best thing going at all...we're the ones who caused all the problems in the first place, and if earth is to be destructed in a few decades , it would be us the reason for that. and talking about animals eating each other and stuff, that's the balance of nature, don't forget that we do worse that what animals do and for no specific reason!!

Also, we can't just ruin earth and leave it to find another one to live in, as we'll destroy it too...same way we did to earth. I mean that we would keep going on from one planet to another..destroying them to search for another.

    Yup.

Do you want Galactic Walmarts running the show? Do you want some power hungry Space Flight corporation creating your ticket out of here?

We have to fix all this negativity on EARTH before we even think about anything else. If we don't we're only going to take all our current negativity and expand it even further.

Perhaps IF someday we have the knowledge and the means for space travel and colonization we also have the wisdom how to preserve our planet(s). Big ifs of course.

That's not true. Technology and discoveries is just another thing for Greed to latch onto, but definately aren't the cause. Anything in the world can be used to give freedom or restrict freedom. Choice.

I'm not sure if humans are technologically advanced enough yet to threaten the planet. Sure, we're advanced enough to threaten the planets ability to support our current standard of living, but we really aren't a threat to the planet itself.

The title of the op should be "Changing human behavior to save humanity"

Because we make a terrible and inefficient waste of it.

People won't do the right thing universally unless they're made to.

Yeah, a lot of people will do something that's environmentally superior if it makes sense, but a lot isn't all. And it's not enough.

    People are idiots.
